Canvalycali Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 It's great to have a site dedicated to p15-d24. I found out about it from a few guys on the Hamb. I previously got my hands on a 53 Plymouth HT, and soon to have a 46 Plymouth Coupe. I purchased the 53 last year. Unfortunately most of the Chassis was switched to chevy. It has a 81 Monte Carlo subframe and rear end. I figured I would finish the car with a SBC too. Most of the trim has been filled. If it had been in more of a original look i would have kept it that way but none of the trim came with the car. It's a very solid body other than a huge hole in the floor in the back seat area. I'm going to have to sell it once I get the 46. My buddies Dad has had the car since highschool and I think his father even owned it before that. It has been parked for a little over 15 years. Of course sitting outside the elements have did what they do best:D. From what I can see it's still a very solid car. All original. Well there's my introduction. Hope to gain some knowledge well hanging out here. Thanks Adam Quote

mackster Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 welcome aboard! this is a great site here and you seem to know what good cars are all about! Quote
Canvalycali Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 Thanks for the welcome. I've only had the mopar bug for a little over six months but I got it Bad:D. Here's some pictures of the 53..... There's no motor so the front sits up a little high. These are pics from when I first bought the car. I need to take some new ones. Thanks Quote
Canvalycali Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 Here's the hole in the floor.... Quote
Niel Hoback Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Looks like you have a good solid start to a great project. I have a soft spot for 53's. That has great possibilities. Questions answered here, no charge. Quote
Phil Martin Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Good one to start on hardtops are rare. Quote
dezeldoc Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Welcome, what part of cali are you from? Quote

PatrickG Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 cool project, and a hello from Gilroy/Stockton Quote
Flatie46 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Welcome, your car looks like a good solid project. Just because it's got a chevy subframe doesn't mean you have put a chevy engine in it. There's alota Mopar engines that need a home. Quote
Canvalycali Posted February 1, 2010 Author Report Posted February 1, 2010 It's going to be someones solid project pretty soon. There's no way my wife will let me have two projects:D. It's going for sale pretty soon. What should I ask for it? I was thinking 1200.00 but am not sure what there going for. As soon as it's gone, it will be time to dump some cash in the 46! Quote
Flatie46 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 The rule of thumb with me is: It always costs more when I buy it and is always worth less when I sell it. No matter how long I have it or how much I improve it. Quote
Canvalycali Posted February 1, 2010 Author Report Posted February 1, 2010 Man your not lying. That's usually the case with all my projects. You want to know what the trick is:D Put it 4 sale near tax season:D The rule of thumb with me is: It always costs more when I buy it and is always worth less when I sell it. No matter how long I have it or how much I improve it. Quote
Flatie46 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Yea that's true, tax refunds buy alot of cars. That's the reason I'm tryn to light a fire under my sons rear. He's been talking about selling his dirt bike and I've told him nows the time. You should list your car in the classified section of this forum, Craigslist is also anthor option. Quote
