HanksB3B Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Guess what it is and I'll tell you why... Hank Quote
Warren Nielsen Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Looks like a radio delete plate. Must mean there's been a radio acquisition? Quote
HanksB3B Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 I guess my truck had the original radio, but I guess someone threw it out somewhere along Highway 61. Then someone drilled and cut the dash, so I at least restored it to original (see pic). I still hope I find one but in the meantime I'll get this plate to match the green and try to be happy. Thanks, Hank Quote

HanksB3B Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 hence the Radio Delete Plate. Will probably end up with an iPod in the glove box and some 12 volt speakers hooked up to a 6v to 12v converter. Hank Quote
Flatie46 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I don't have one but I'll keep an eye out for one when I''m roaming the junkyards in these parts. What years truck could they be found in? What would be a fair price to give for one? Quote
HanksB3B Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) My truck is a 51 B3B someone correct me, but I'd guess the 610T was used from 50-53? I'd be motivated at that price to find one. Hope you are. Thanks, Hank Edited January 27, 2010 by HanksB3B Quote

Phil Martin Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Where can you find a 6 to 12 converter? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Where can you find a 6 to 12 converter? There are several out there, but I got mine from Meyer Electronics out of River Falls, WI. It works great for me. I run my stereo and a 12v outlet for my GPS or to charge my cell phone or Ipod. I found I can even run an air compressor off of it if I were to have a flat. I also use it to power up my timing light, with an extention cable, when I'm tinkering on the engine. I think it's rated at 6 amps output. Oh oh, it looks like they're in financial troubles. http://www.pressenter.com/~cmeyer/ Quote
HanksB3B Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 and it's anatomically correct. anything will look better than the hole. God Bless Ebay, Hank P.S. Now if I can just find an original oil cap. Quote
