Don Coatney Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 What is a center cap? Hubcap? Front wheel bearing cover? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 (edited) Hello. Welcome. Where do you live? Is your car a sedan or coupe? The Special Deluxe used a 10 inch outer diameter hub cap. The less expensive Deluxe models used a 9" cap. Otherwise they look just alike. The ship and writing in the center were red, but not the ring around the center. The caps usually can be found on ebay - in varying condition. Or at swap meets. Or----as Don asked, do you mean the center grease caps on the front axles?? Edited August 3, 2009 by BobT-47P15 Quote
michael.warshaw Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 the chrome center cap that says plymouth and the outer chrome hub cap aswell. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 :DWelcome to the gang Michael! You've found the best ole' Plymouth site on the WWW. For your question, are you talking hubcaps here? I see someone posted before I could finish typing. I see you got your answer. Tom Quote

michael.warshaw Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 does anyone know where i can buy replacement windows, because mine are bubling at the corners. Quote
martybose Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Since they are flat glass, any good glass shop should be able to make them for you. Just use your old one's as patterns. Marty Quote
michael.warshaw Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 i cant velieve no one sells the glass already done, and noone sells replacement wheels? Quote
Alexander Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 I dont think its cost effective for an auto distrbutor to precut and stocking items that most people can get via local resources. Its easy to get new windows cut at any local mirror/glass shop. Just bring them your old. I had the drivers window made out of safty glass (correct glass for automotive use) at the local shop for $23 Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Certainly a nice looking coupe from what I can see in the picture. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 a search online will yield many glass companies offering direct glass replacments already cut to correct specs in a viariety of shades and even temepred side glass if you choose... Vintage Glass is just one...they are big chain..may be a dealer near you.. Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Great looking car, the hub caps don't look that bad in the picture. If there is just surface rust on them you may try to use a brillo pad on them, and shine them up. Tony C Quote
greg g Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Hub caps come up from time to time on epay, and can be found a some swap meets, or out of Hemmings and the Plymouth Owners club bulletin or classifieds. You won;t find a lot of reproduction stuff like the ford and GM folks have access to, but parts can be found. Looks like you might have two different sized ones on the car now they came in 9 in and 10 inch depeding on year and model, and MOPAR stuff from the era is so interchangeable, stuff got moved from car to car pretty easily. YOu mentioned wheels, no one I know of sells new stock style whees but aftermarket wheels the will work are available from several sources. What diameter wheels are on your car 15 or 16?? I have aftermarket rims with baby moon hubcaps and trim rings on my coupe Quote
