And I guess the driver was really was a dedicated smoker, never seen without it while being extracted from the truck. Quote
48Dodger Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Wish I could see the other side of the truck. I bet it got hit harder than it looks, they needed a crowbar and a sledgehammer to get the good door open. If he wasn't hurt bad, he could have climbed out the window, but I'm guessin he was hurt enough he couldn't move on his own. Amazing pictures. Oh yea....I bid on it.lol 48D Quote
MBF Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 There's an old driver's ed movie (Signal 31) that I saw in high school that shows the scene of a fatal accident with a PH truck-that may have also involved a train. Quote
woodscavenger Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Looks like a setup for a film. Doesn't look to be smashed up. Quote
48Dodger Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 (edited) I don't think its staged....if you look close, you'll see a vent window and side mirror. In the next picture the vent window is gone and side mirror is down...I think they needed clearance to pull him out through the window. 48D Edited June 22, 2009 by 48dodger Quote
Jim Roach Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 If you look through the windshield in picture #4 you and see the passenger door frame inside the cab of the truck. I don't think it was staged either. Jim Roach Quote
48Dodger Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Yes! I won it....lol. buds truck Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 I like this pic! if anyone thinks this might be staged, just look at the cab to running board area. you can see how far the cab is shifted at the rear towards the edge of the running board comparable to the front of the cab and running board. that was a hard hit.
