RobertKB Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 If that car gets rodded, it will be a crime. However, there are lots of "car people" out there that would buy it for the body and rod it without thinking twice about the unique piece of history they are cutting up. I sure hope someone gets it who appreciates it for what it is. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 if it gets rodded or not..the odds of the money at the rod show being a tad more loose than at the conservative POC meet is surely what he is betting on..a few guys with deep pcokets,,eye candy everywhere..he just has to be there...with the car..doubt he will get anywhere near his asking..but I could be wrong..the front stance of that car looks odd, could be the angle..looks like no weight on the axle.. Young Ed Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Back to the 50s is his place if he truely wants to sell it. For one thing 100s of people at the POC meet vs 10000+ at back to the 50s. I saw a guy whip out ~10K cash and buy a p15 club coupe on the spot. I've heard lots of people who are looking to buy carry cash like that in there. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 I have noticed that on the HAMB when some fellow finds a really nice original old car and asks "what do you think I should do to it?" --- many will say just make it nice and leave it alone. Too nice to cut on for a rod. Just drive as is and enjoy. Or sell to a collector of antiques...then go find something not in such good shape to re-do. Quote
rearview Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Is the swap open to all or only POC folks? I want to peddle my Dodge... and it would be a perfect place... Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 My first thought was that the tires are too small . Quote
