Thru an antique car dealership.

Has had some mechanical work done.

Only asking $26,900 since it needs repairs.

For about the same money ($28,500) you could get this nice 49 Plym convert.

In Watertown, MN.

Having a 1tone belvedere is a waste. BTW by the trim thats a 52.

Ed......Just went by the ad which said '51. Most of those hardtops with

the trim down the trunk were two tone......evidently this one has been

re-painted. Also, the front bumper, hood ornament and probably the

grille have been painted silver.

Norm - those termites must have been eating real good.

The back door and quarter don't look exactly perfect, either. Wonder

if it sat with that side exposed to the elements over time.

The drivers side seems to be in better shape.

As cool as woodies are, I'd still be nervous about this one. I am no carpenter. However, it appears that it should all be taken out and replaced. It doesn't look an easy or inexpensive task. It would take the right person w/ either the right skills or deep enough pockets to take on that project. If I had $26K for a Plymouth, I think I'd go for that '49 convertible instead.

I don't know if you should have told me about that coupe in San Diego. It might follow me home from my trip in July. :)

Having a P-15 woody would be neat, but like Capt neon said, I'd be scared of what it would take to fix that. I can do bodywork and paint on metal parts, but wood I don't know.

For that kind of money I probably could live with just buying the convert. ;)

Here is what an original 1952 belvedere should look like. I restored this Belmont blue poly-chromatic lower/sterling grey upper over 30 years ago. Has factory OD plus sevearl more Mopar accessories.

I'd love a woody but that one is scary. Nice enough to be tempting but bad enough to know better. Like others have said it would need all new wood or at the very least some new wood and every other piece out and stabilized. Tempting but like Odysseus I will put plugs in my ears and not hear the sirens.

Bob (Dodgeb4ya) is that your place where you showed the pic of the 52? If it is I would like to see more. Thanks, Brendan.

Very nice set of cars and trucks. Hopefully with all the maintenance a fleet like that needs, you still have time to enjoy and drive them. There are some delicious car in your collection!

Actually, Odysseus had himself lashed to the mast so that he COULD listen to the Sirens. His crew on the other hand had their ears stopped up with wax so that they would not be tempted and crash the ship on the rocks.
