Norm's Coupe Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Sometime today in one of the not so good area's of town, two thieves entered a jewelry store and robbed it of money and jewels. As the two walked out the store door, four other thieves stopped them and robbed them of their take. About that time the police were closing in so they all took off. Police caught 4 of the six, but not the one with the loot. Guess there is just no honor or respect among thieves. :D :D I would not be surprised if Leno picked up on this one and used it in one of his mono logs. I think its funny myself. Was just on the evening news here. A funny story like this has it way of getting around fast. Quote
RobertKB Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 As there appears to be "no honour among thieves" in this case, I imagine one of the apprehended culprits will plea bargain and rat on the two who were not caught and have the jewels. As Norm says, this kind of story makes the rounds quickly. At the very least it has provided some light relief in difficult times. Thanks for posting. Quote
John Mulders Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 ha ha , I like the one that happened in the Netherlands. Couple of guys rob a store and shoot the owner (not funny), he managed to get outside and lowers the iron gate and the police have an easy arrest ! John Quote
aero3113 Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 This is good too, There was a bank robbery a few years back on long island. The robber had a friend leave a getaway car in the back with it running. He runs out of the bank gets into the car and that was when he realized he did not know how to drive a stick shift!!! Quote
Frank Elder Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 One my favorite Paul Harvey storys is about the bank robber that use the back of his parole paper work to write his stickup note. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 So Norm; What are you going to do with the "loot":D Buy a 58 shiverlay:confused: Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted March 21, 2009 Author Report Posted March 21, 2009 So Norm; What are you going to do with the "loot":D Buy a 58 shiverlay:confused: Sort of. There's a real nice 60 Corvette convertible on Craigs list locally for "only" $56,000. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Norm..you buy that and I will personally come and wax that thing one time...as in..I double dog dare you... Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted March 21, 2009 Author Report Posted March 21, 2009 Tim, don't think you will have to worry about waxing that thing for me. Would be a neat car to own, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on any car. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 for that reason alone I made the offer to wax it..felt pretty secure in not having to leave home... Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 for that reason alone I made the offer to wax it..felt pretty secure in not having to leave home... Tim; If it were a three thousand corvette you will have the same secure reason as Norm would find something wrong with it after a tire kick or two. Quote
