Greetings to all, I recently joined the site and wanted to check in and say hello. I have learned a lot already, browsing past posts. I have recently become the owner of my Grandfather's 1950 Dodge Coronet w/ Gyromatic. It is pretty much a 44,000 mi. unrestored survivor car. It had a respray in 1972 but otherwise is all original and intact. I will be referring to this site often for info. on maintaining it as well as parts sources etc. I have a picture of the car in my profile. Thanks, Mike

Welcome to the best forum on the internet. You have one sweet looking car! It is always nice to see an original survivor. Thanks for filling out the profile.

Super looking Dodge, Mike.

Welcome.

Lots of good info, fun and occasional frivolity here.

Check my post about the upcoming Nashville swap meet, if you

want to look for any needed parts. Usually, however, old Mopar

parts are in the minority at swaps, with GM and Ford prevailing.

But, ya never know what might crop up.

Welcome and nice looking Dodge. Good to see another middle Tennessean on the forum. There is a fun cruise in every Friday evening in the summer months here in Murfreesboro. Several other shows in the area. Hope to meet up with you.

Hey Don

I graduated from UT in Knoxville in 1968. My first daughter was born there. One of my roomates dated a girl from Murfreesboro named Ginger Baer, and later married her. I think I spelled last her name right. Pretty sure it wasn,t Bear or Bare. Anyway, thought the name might ring a bell since it's pretty unique.

I dont recall meeting or seeing Ginger Bare but I will keep my eyes open

I have only lived in Tennessee for about 9 years. I moved here from California but I am a native Hoosier.

There are some nice cars in the Boro and vicinity.

Went to a show at a new shopping mall there this year.....Don drove his

Plym over.....and we inspected some cool rides that turned up. That

event was put on by a car club to raise funds to help a member's son,

whose home had burned.
