HoHOHO, it maybe sunny here but it's durn cold, just let Santa, his sleigh and Rein Deer have a quick pit stop before he ventures south of the border.

The North Pole is a long ways just to my place in Southern Canada.

So a quick shot of Crown Royal Canadian Rye Whiskey for Santa, de-iced the sleigh with -40 Windhsield washer fluid, got the Rein Deer some fresh alflafa hay, cleaned Rudolphs nose, and they were back off first to Winnipeg, then to the Twin Cities and the Milwaukee areas.

So Ed and Norm, take warning, Santa is on the way, Norm, Santa was wondering if you still have the glow:p in the snow as he will land there if possible, or he said this, since you use the driveway quite a bit with your Coupe, it's no doubt nice and clean, he will land there also.

Ed, he also hopes Columbia Heights is doing a better job this year with the back lane snow clearing, if not get out the shovel real quick.

Tim Adams, Santa knows you have been secretly drinking Tim Hortons coffee, no doubt you are hanging around with Canadians:rolleyes: , this pleases him very much, he would like a fresh cup of coffee when he reaches Georgia by 3:30 AM, as he will be cold from flying over the northern USA.

Old Daddy, he asked if you would hang-up a hammock this year instead of a stocking, as by the time he gets to Florida, by 5:00 AM, he would like to catch a few winks in the Florida warmth:) .

You guys in California, Nevada and the rest of the southwest where it snowed, Santa says keep up the good work, he appreciates the snow but will catch you next year:p , as he has had enough of snow and cold and will being doing a lay over in the Domincan Republic.

No I am not drunk, just 1 crazy canuck wishes yall a Very Merry Christmas and a great Holiday Season, as I sit here wrappping gifts in my house, it's -15, and Santa did not hang around here to long either;) ...........LOL HOHOHO:D

Tim, all the Best to and yours over the Holiday Season. Tae care of that Carpel Tunnel, I also have it in both wrists, after a 10 year career as Meat Cutter, I needed surgery, opted to find other employment.

I still get flare-ups, when I work with the paws, especially on the car at times.

Just confine you use of the hands to more Holiday tasks, eating, drinking coffee and being Merry.........

Hey Rodney, just came back from the City (Winnipeg), was in the old neighbourhood, having the turkey and all the trimmings at my Sisters house, can hardly move now myself, time to watch some old classic Movies or something.

I was given a book by my Wife as a Xmas gift, it is a huge book of pictures of Downtown Winnipeg from about 1880 to present day, you should see all the old car pics. There were 2 huge Department stores downtown when I was kid everyone for miles around would shop there, I was astounded to read the one store "Eatons was on 8 floors and had 27 acres of floor space to sell there merchandise. They had, Doorman, Elevator Operators, the whole 9 yards, man how times have changed, it's actually not safe to go to a lot of parts of Downtown Winnipeg at night, these days.

It wa actually nice here today, at about 15 to 20, it seemed like a heatwave after having -30 with a -40 windchill for several days.........Fred

Merry Christmas to all from Calgary. Temp expected on Friday -3C(26F), then on Saturday 4C(39F). Nice reprieve for a day or two, then back to the deep freeze.

Fred, I recall as a kid going downtown at Christmas (there was only one mall here at the time) Eaton's was 5 floors and had about 6 big elevators with folding mesh doors and an operator in uniform.

Birk's Jewelers had hot water pipes under the sidewalk so they were clear of snow all the time but they were also very steamy.

Downtown was a very magical place here at Christmas back then...I miss it.

Hi all, it will be -3 or 26 f here today, it's -8 or 17 f right now. This is real nice for Manitoba Canada for this time of the year.

Frankie I have travelled south on 1 29, in winter, it's around Omaha where you see the first weather change when driving from the north. A lot of times when were 20 below you guys are 32 above, then you see the weather gradually warm till you get well into Texas, this is in the dead of winter of course.

2 years ago a friend from work took a bus tour from Winnipeg to Texas then on to California. He said it was so cold in Kansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, with snow everywhere, he said it did'nt get that warm till he was in southern Arizona that year................Fred
