they_call_me_tred Posted December 16, 2008 Report Share Posted December 16, 2008 does anyone have the torque tightening sequence and torque specs for a '50 plymouth straight six, the 218 flathead? i have to replace my head gasket and at least the one freeze plug in the head, and i wanna get everything torqued to factory spec. thank you. tred. Start in the center and "X" out 20 14 6 2 8 11 `17 19 13 4 1 7 10 16 21 15 5 3 9 12 18 and continue in that pattern till you reach the end torque is 70 lbft. retorque using the same pattern after a heat cycle.
