pflaming Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 A friend has a 48 hood which I think fits the 52, checking that out. While there saw this truck, what caught my eye was the stainless steel grill. Photos attached. The truck is body only, no engine or tranny, and really rust free. To use the forum correctly should I list this on the for sale rather than here? PF Quote
bkahler Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 I don't think the 48 hood will work properly on a 52 model truck. The nose shape is slightly different, the latches I think are different as are the prop rods that hold the hood open. I could be wrong and hopefully someone with more knowledge on the subject will chime in. Brad Quote
Frank Elder Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Uh oh, a yellow truck! Here comes Reg! Quote

pflaming Posted December 10, 2008 Author Report Posted December 10, 2008 Reg, this yellow truck has your name all over it! You need one that is ALL YELLOW! Quote
48Dodger Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Hey yeah, how much and where is it? I think there's a California law, Reg, that sez you can't have three yellow trucks. Something like "three's trucks and your out"....don't want to see you get in trouble man. 48D Quote
pflaming Posted December 10, 2008 Author Report Posted December 10, 2008 48dodger: CA law doesn't apply to Californian's who live in Sacramento, the Sierra foothills, or the mountains on the northern border!!!!!! So Reg is free to get that truck! I thought three in a row was 'gobble, gobble, gobble'. Quote
MBF Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Wow talk about crazy laws-check this out from our local paper.... http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081210/NEWS/812100326/-1/NEWS Sad part is our government probably funded a study for this! Yellow PH's are next. Quote

Reg Evans Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Yeah....and then the Old Farts here and everywhere will be taxed for our extra emissions next. So far the Pilot house color count around here is 2 yellows,1 green, and 1 sorta silver. The silver one might be yellow underneath the silver though. Tim, The yellow truck Paul showed us that's for sale is closer to you than me. It's in Reedley,Ca. down near Hanford. Maybe you should go for it so I don't strike out. Wait....I do have more room now though cause this 45 Dodge with misc. parts is heading out for Merry Old England in about 1 hour. Thanks eBay !!! Quote
