 46-48 D-24's

Were stone deflectors factory, dealer installed or aftermarket accessories? More than one brand that fits or just a single offering?

I had them on the 48 moredor, but none on the 47 CC, thanks fella's!

I believe this was brought up long ago on this forum and that these were not offered as a factory item..only the aftermarket supplied these parts..I think the 41 may have been the last of factory supplied until 1949 when they started putting them back on...now of course..I could be wrong...I have no source for this..just hearsay

Funny funny. When Dad bought his 51 conv in 66 he sent the card from the owners manual and $2 and still received a shop manual from Chrysler.

I wonder how many different styles of stone guards there are. My car had 2 diff ones and the ribbed ones pictured above makes 3 styles.

The ones on my car are ribbed and still like new. I asked my grandfather where he bought them and he told me several years ago he bought them from JC Whitney. Purchased them around 1979 so I'd say they are no longer available. Never asked him how much he purchased them for.

I could have bought a set that a guy locally here took of his car. Sadly the pass one was pretty well dented up. I'll probably end up patching the holes in my fenders and going without the guards.

Both the rear fenders on my car were pretty bad. Not rusty, just dented up good. There had been a lot of filler work on both of them prior. I made about 95% of the fenders smooth and straight, the other 5% is under those guards. :)

I do have another set of rears with no holes that I may end up using too.
