Plymouthy Adams
I am thinking most folks use a 306..if standard plug gap at .028 and if resistor plug gap a .035. check this thread.... http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=4775&highlight=autolite+spark+plug

captden29
just curious as to why the standard and resistor plugs have different gaps. i never saw that in any manual and always thought that the standard of .035 was for any plug. dennis
Plymouthy Adams
that info is straight from the book..46-54, tune up section..good reading..recommend anyone tuning their car to briefly go over this section..
Young Ed
I seem to be the lone user of Champ plugs. I've got 8k miles on my set in the coupe and they are fine. Have a set in the pickup also.

Young Ed
I believe I have them in everything I own including my dakota. I know for sure the 2 old cars have them along with every old car i Dads fleet.

Normspeed
I use the 306 plugs gapped at .028. That's on a 6 volt setup. Had one set of Champs in the car before the rebuild, it just felt weaker somehow. You guys know that Albert Champion began AC spark plugs then sold his original spark plug rights and manufacturing facilities, only to start up Champion? daddyo23
I wonder about the 306. I've got them in now and according to the Autolite website, the numbers tell the heat range, thread size and if resistor or not. They say with an even number at the end it's a resistor. I always thought it would have an "R" in the model number. Maybe I read the site wrong? I tried Champion in the car. Didn't seem to run too bad, but, I've never had good luck with them in anything else. Wayne P.
