PatS.... Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Doesn't matter, you can only see one side at a time!!!!!! Quote
Young Ed Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Front bumper looks nice and rechromed. Back is missing guards and bolts and not very nice looking. Trunk gasket is on the body instead of the lid. Headliner has stains(mice damage?) Blue engine. Spare tire laying flat on trunk floor-can't see the normal hanger and tire well. Quote
Heavy Flat Head Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 It looks good to me, but as I am a blind residential plans examiner what do I know. Ed Quote
PatS.... Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 How about the rear wheel well openings from driver side to passenger side? Quote
Young Ed Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Good catch one of those is a 42 rear fender/ Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 end of year model..one side of the assembly line ran out of parts ahead of the other...lol Quote
PatS.... Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Good catch one of those is a 42 rear fender/ I like it, looks good on there. Quote
Normspeed Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Same here, I'd leave it. I always liked the 42 rear fenders. Reminds me of a story I heard about one of those great old DC-3 or C47s being flown somewhere out of India. One entire wing had been replaced with a DC-2 wing (a little shorter) and made to work, but the plane had to be flown in a crabbing attitude to go straight. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Report Posted September 24, 2008 Yep.....what I saw was the mismatched rear fenders. And the upholstry is not "original" either. Headliner looks new, despite the stain. Plus any other little oddities you others noticed. Just like to post such things for fun. Quote
1947PLEVY Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 It's not in my driveway and it's green, or I'm green with envy God Bless Us All. John 47Plevy Quote
YukonJack Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I spotted the fender difference also. Emailed the owner but never got an answer. I'm sure a lot of people have missed that. Quote
