Damn and blast!....broke my ankle!

Helluva mess here, just started painting my wagon, height of hurricane season and I broke my ankle! I was on a jobsite helping my concrete guys layout a circular walkway. I tripped over a sprinkler head, caught my left foot on the curb and went over sideways all 200 lbs of me on that one little ankle. I heard it crack and ended up breaking it in three places, lucky me. I'm in cast, no surgery, but no fun for at least two months. I have a roll around chair I can use in the shop, but my bodywork may have to wait till I am healed up some. I'm too old for this sort of thing, cramps my style, slows me down. Damn and blast!@#*&%!!!

dang Charlie..that is tough...I know you not happy..good thing it was but an ankle and not your neck..we older folks don't bounce as well as we used to..how about the young guy helping..can you sit back and oversee him doing things to your standard? Take it easy and let that thing heal so you will be back to work with a solid fix and not a troublesome joint for eternity.

Damn and blast X2, Charlie.

Maybe thats someones way of saying maybe it's time to slow down and smell the roses?

Regardless, take care of it and hope you're back mobile soon.

Like Tim said YOU older folk don't bounce and bend like YOU used too, so ya gotta take it cool.:D;):P:o

Sorry to hear about the broken ankle, Charlie. Hope you have a speedy recovery. The cast can be a real pain in the butt. Was in the same boat about 2 years ago with some foot surgery. Might want to consider the rental of a mobility scooter. Got me out of the house, into the fresh air numerous times, and did a lot to keep my mind off the $#@%&* cast on my foot !!

Ouch Charlie ..... not good. But, the advice to W.A.I.T. until its healed is good advice. We aren't getting younger and these things don't fix as well if we aren't patient and careful..... Ouch!
