  1. I am doing the same thing to my 47 Plymouth - replacing some older repairs with correct cloth-covered wire. I got mine from Harnesses Unlimited. You can order the length you need in the correct gauge and color for your car. Their pricing is very reasonable. Lots of luck on your project. Let us know how it turns out!
  2. We are still wrestling with the steering wheel on my '36 Plymouth. We found one of the recommended pullers, and cranked it as tight as two people could get it. We have heated it with a torch, chilled it with dust-off, and whacked it with a hammer. Next we drilled into the keyway about an inch-and-a-quarter, and then tried the puller again - all to no avail. That thing is not moving. We have had the puller so tight that it breaks the bottom of the steering wheel without results. There has to be something we are missing. Any suggestions?
  3. Congratulations!!
  4. Sam, that looks great! How did you fasten the leds to the ornament?
  5. Thanks, Rich!
  6. I'm still wrestling to get the steering wheel off my '36 P2. I don't want to get anymore aggressive (heat, etc) until I know I can find another wheel if this one gets damaged. Anybody have one hanging in the garage?
  7. Woodrow, mine is the original color. It had a repaint in the 70s, but the cowl and inside the door openings is original.
  8. I also have an aluminum radiator. I need to get it painted so it doesn't stick out "like a sore thumb". I have a pusher fan and the original horns.
  9. Andydodge, I would love to see the picture. If it won't post here, send it to dougkrassow@ymail.com Thanks!!

  12. I have a pair of fender skirts in great condition, but I have no idea what they belong to. If you can help me identify them, I would greatly appreciate it!!
  13. Hi Daniel. There is a parts car in a junk yard not too far from me. I'm in Florida, so it might be too far from you. I know there are companies who would transport the car to you (for a price!). Just an option. Let me know if you want me to check on the car for you.
  14. Makes sense, Plymouthy Adams. Thanks!
  15. Thanks, Don. Does it need to be a high pressure hose? Or will a section of regular hose work the same?
  16. Hi guys. I was doing some work underneath my P15 and noticed that the short high pressure line at the fuel pump is hooked up to the inlet side. Is this right? I would expect it to be on the outlet side. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for your usual good advise!!
  17. Thanks for the input, Rich. I had the filter upside down!!
  18. My 47 has the original engine. I changed the oil and then sucked the oil out of the filter canister. Now I can't get the top back on the canister. What am I doing wrong? If you have any suggestions or pictures, etc.please let me know! Thanks!

  22. I took the grill emblem off of my '47 to do some repair work to the nose. Was any part of this emblem originally painted? If so, now would be the ideal time to paint it.
  23. I have been having a lot of trouble lately with vapor lock on my P15. Mine does not have the heat shield on the manifold. I guess it was taken off at some point in the past. Does anyone have a picture of how it is supposed to attach? Thanks for your help!
