  1. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them with us.
  2. This lenses are very difficult to remove. The procedure is the same as RalphD25cpe's DeSoto .Make sure you have a box with a couple of towels in it to catch the lens "just in case"!
  3. young ed, I would sure be interested in knowing how your swap turns out! Does your p15 have a radio? That can be an issue with some of the aftermarket wiper motors.
  4. I am considering replacing the vacuum wiper motor on my p15 with an electric. I know there are later years that have electric wipers Are there any years that would be a direct replacement? Thanks in advance for your input
  5. Do you have any pictures?
  6. rb1949, that sounds interesting. Where did you get it?

  8. Thanks, Jeff!
  9. I had the starter out of my p15. Do I need to put any grease on the gear before I put it back in the car? Thanks for you input
  10. Oldguy48, it shows 5 volts across the solenoid terminals with the ignition off. Almost none when cranking.
  11. Hey guys, I need your opinion on my car. It turns over very slowly - not fast enough to start. It always seems to turn slower that I think it should, The difference is that it is VERY slow now. My cables from the battery to the relay, from the relay to the starter, and from the battery to the engine ground are all marked 2/0 and are new within the last 2 years. I cleaned all the connections on battery, the relay, and the ground. When I check with a volt meter, I have 6.25 volts at the battery, 6.25 on the hot side of the starter relay, and 2.7 - 4.1 on the starter side of the relay (it varies every time I check it). There is also 2.7 - 4.1 at the starter. I have 5 volts at the small post on the relay. Does this say I need a new relay? Or is there another problem that is making the low reading on the starter side? Thanks in advance for your input.
  12. I had a similar battle getting mine to run. The culprit ending up being the condensor! I think the one on it now is the 5th or 6th one that was put on it. They can be bad right out of the box.
  13. I have never had to deal with a urine smell, but I keep a bottle of Zorbx in my van. It does great if I get gasoline on my hands or clothes at the gas station. It iworks better than anyting else I have ever used www.zorbx.com I bought a tool on eBay to get the interior handles off. Look at item # 121979481781. Hope this helps!
  14. Beautiful car! Love the plaid interior. Welcome to the group!
  15. There is an ebay seller who has the kick panels. His seller name is carpartjimm . Another guy has trunk divider panels. His seller name is musclemaniac5 . He has a note on his page that he is out of town until the 25th of this month. There are a couple who have trunk mats - elwickedo, jackjilli, and musclemaniac5. Hope this helps! Doug
  16. I'm curious...I was looking through some items on eBay this morning and saw some 12 volt to 6 volt voltage reducers. Is it possible to jump start our 6 volt cars from a 12 volt source if there is a voltage reducer before our battery? The flow would be 12 volt source (not in a car) to jumper cables, jumper cables to voltage reducer, voltage reducer to 6 volt battery. It may not work - just curious. Thanks for any insights you might have!
  17. Absolutely stunning!!
  18. That clip was awesome!
  19. Merry Christmas from sunny Florida. It is supposed to be in the 80s here!
  20. I would love to see some more pictures of your car if you have any! That really looks neat!

  24. He still rebuilds carburetors and overdrives, among other things. He rebuilt a carburetor for my 47 a month or so ago. I'v never met him - just talked to him on the phone.
  25. Wayne, that is a good question. The points/condensers were changed at mechanics garages after I couldn't figure out what the problem was. So, unfortunately, I can't answer that.
