  1. I have a front end problem with my 2002 4X4 Durango, Maybe someone can help. Replaced front shocks 2 years ago. For the last month when I hit a bump the left front wheel acts like there is no shock, left side bounces. Curb height also seems a little lower on left front. Replaced front shocks again thinking they went bad. Same problem, right front takes bumps ok, (maybe a little too hard) while left front is spongy. Is it possible the torsion bar is out of adjustment? Can it change adjustment on it's own? If I turn it a couple of turns will this correct it? Thanks in advance.
  2. First drove at 13, 1959 Thunderbird. When I got my learners permit, 66 Lincoln Continental.
  3. The other day I was doing some clean up and came across 7 qts of 10w40 Fire and Ice motor oil. Think this was made by Shell. It is in the round cardboard cans with the metal top and bottom. These are at least 20 years old. My question is, is the oil still good? Do they have any value or should I just use them if they are still good?
  4. Thats what I was trying to figure out also.
  5. I had full hubcaps from a later model Chrysler on my 47 when I bought it. Any time I made a hard left turn the right hubcap would come off and go rolling down the street. I replaced stock wheels with newer wheels. I later read about the stress and flexing that radial tires put on stock 4" wide wheels.
  6. How did the lowered springs work for you? How much lower is the rear? Do you have a picture?
  7. Seller contacted me, said he is changing listing. Seller (Ryan) asked if it was 50-51 Dodge or Desoto. I told him I didn't know.
  8. Yes I did.
  9. So....... Did anyone correct the seller or are you going to let some uneducated P15 owner buy it to add to his collection of things that can't be used?
  10. Those are the same ones I bought. Nice quality, Haven't installed yet. Don't remember what I paid.
  11. I still use the stock amp gauge on 12 volts, but also hooked up a volt gauge under dash. Read somewhere volt gauges are supposed to be safer.
  12. I had Lionel trains and Marx trains as a kid. When I turned 16 they got sold and my interest went to cars. About 14 years ago I decided I wanted to collect the sets I had as a kid. Then, I decided to get all the stuff I wanted, but didn't have. Going to local train shows I was excited by how advanced the new trains had become. Now you have Lionel, Mikes Train House (MTH), Atlas and others, digital whistles, real train sounds, remote control operation, I was in heaven. The majority of my collection is post war Lionel, mostly 1950's. Living in Chicago most of my life I wanted any trains that were Illinois Central. Long story short, my obsessive compulsive behavior got the better of me and I have way to many trains. From time to time I sell them on Ebay. Still have a lot of sets I want to sell, and Tis The Season. Nothing better than a Lionel train running around the Christmas tree, Except driving my P15.
  13. I got 100
  14. My 47 Plymouth has the Arvin heater. Not sure of the model number but it is shaped like a horse shoe with a red switch in the front that lights up (several of these on ebay right now). I took mine apart several years ago when the switch went out and the motor was making noise so I replaced it with a 12 volt motor from a Jeep. I used a universal under dash switch with it. I now have a switch that looks like it will fit in the heater housing but can't figure how it goes back in. Does anyone have a blown up view of this type of heater? Heater works fine now, just don't like the switch attached to the bottom of my dash.
  15. I was a little concerned Don used excited and goose in the sentence. I think there are laws against that.
  16. Mine won't charge on start up until rpm is increased then it's fine. Maybe when mine goes bad I'll get one of those super duper Kalifornia ones.
  17. The 1 wire will charge at idle once the regulator has been excited. After start up the rpm must be raised to excite the regulator, it will then charge normally.
  18. Got mine from Speedway Motors.
  19. I vote no because I agree it would add to much congestion to the forum. The way it is now you go to which ever forum you need based on vehicle. I have noticed some members frequent both sides giving advise on cars and trucks.
  20. I did the same thing and haven't had a problem. I believe a 318 thermostat housing is pretty close to the stock one if you wanted to go back.
  21. I like that 58 Station wagon. Thanks for sharing.
  22. I am still running a 6 volt starter on 12 volts in my Plymouth. I replace the fender mounted solenoid with a 12 volt solenoid from a 70's Ford. No problems.
  23. Where is the piece you hit with the BFH?
  24. I was thinking about this once also. I found a Jeep Forum that listed the length of the 4.0. I believe it is about 4" longer.
  25. What size tires and wheels are you running? Front look pretty narrow, but I like it. Do you have a side view?
