  1. Thanks DJ, but no. It took me 40 years to get this far on my Dodge I don't have enough time left on this Earth for another project. ?
  2. Is it typical to find BOTH the serial AND Engine #'s. ??
  3. Body, yes. That logo is stamped on the passenger door .
  4. A little help please finding the number stamped on to my frame. Researching here led me to find this number stamped almost directly at the top of the arch, of the rear driver side wheel frame. I was expecting my serial number or the engine number and this is what I found. I'm chiselling off old undercoating. Any direction here on which way I should go looking for more numbers front, or back of this set ?
  5. 46 47 48 Club Coupe, Rear 1/4 windows. Correct installation is as shown. Angled "tail" piece is toward the REAR of the car when setting glass and installing.
  6. Fellow D-24 Club Coupe owners Do I have the glass installed backwards in the channel ?? I am having a heck of a time getting them in the body, and it just doesn't seem right. HELP please Clay
  7. Front Stone deflector for my D24. Several years ago I found both left and right pair NOS. Part numbers still stenciled on. Replaced a crude fabricated one from previous resto attempt.
  8. Interesting, I do not recall any difference assembling my dizzy. 1st thought is the engineers made some of this idiot proof for people like me. Seems there would be a difference in the notches, and posts if it mattered.
  9. Hey Rich , Good call on the assist handles!
  10. Another item I blasted and painted years ago to store. Pete, try the junk yards like Borth. Maybe?
  11. Happy I saved them ! Hope the upholstery shop knows what to do with them. ?
  12. As I , barely recall these hold the headliner. Is that correct ? If so, where do they install? Thanks in advance.
  13. Just a shout out here to Chris Paquin at Andy Bernbaum. Always a pleasure to deal with and has helped me on some tough items, both small and large. He bought out Andy B years ago now and again is excellent. Nice guy.

  14. Marc, guess what we all had in common was youth. Thinking we had all the time in the world. LOL The fresh air unit is a very tight fit is all. You can do it. Back at it today with Temps moderate again.
  15. Mark, Like so many here, this is what it was for 30 years or so in my Dad's garage. Drove it ( black then ) 1980-1981 and disassembled , and garaged it all those years. Started the build in 2012 and still going. Working to get it road worthy this year.
  16. Thanks Mark, I am mindful that having photos is so helpful. Also frustrating when they can't be found. These are the sheets that RIW includes when you get there harnesses. REALY VERY helpful along with the schematic. Yes , I've seen your project and am impressed with the frame off. I chickened out on that myself. Hope to me in the garage today as it will be 60ish in CT. Another cold week coming next week. Keep at it ! D24- Wiring map from RIW_000059.pdf
  17. Hi Andy Yes I bought a pair from AB but couldn't use them. Very confusing that my car didn't have them or the spacer sized holes in frame. Just a thought. Could Dodge have used them on the D24 in 1948 only after the change to 15" tires? No idea what the reason would be. Parts book is clear though, but I believe it was published in 1946 at the start of the D24.
  18. Hi Rich, Odd bit for sure. Fact that I had not of these parts in mind, and the parts book being so specific is odd as other models like yours have it. Any other D24 owners with LEFT drive have these insulators?
  19. Frank, I have been planning on it. I do NOT have a steady hand for that work. It'll wait.
  20. Following this thread with much interest as I've search for answers before. Great graphic posted by Marty shows part book reference numbers. I checked my D24 parts book and see these insulators were just used on the Right Hand Drive models. My club coupe did not have these. Of course I bought a pair several years ago when the unit was out fir rebuild. Could not make them work for me. Holes in the frame are not big enough fir the rubber, just bolts. Never had a plate or spacers or ferrules. Now I know why.
  21. Slow going last month. Cold garage and busy work. Control cables are in. Oil guage connected. Most dash wiring completed. Warmer days coming soon, and lighter evenings too. Pressing onward.
  22. I got mine from Eaton Spring. They were very helpful getting correct fit.
  23. Sometimes the terminal names are marked on the "tabs" where bolts go thru. Check that for correct wiring.
  24. Thank you all. Planning to get this done this weekend. Working on wiring an inline fuse can on the bench and then out to the garage to finish.
  25. Since the heaters were an option they do not appear on the D24 wiring schematic drawing. When I disassembled my car ( 40 years ago ), I marked the power wire from the heater switch to the COIL terminal on the ignition. Question: is this correct? Or should it be on the RAD / GA terminal ?
