I bought it already painted. You know how styles change, 10 years ago you would never think of a finished car with surface rust showing. NOW, it the latest fad.

Lived in Omaha from 71-77. The only problem with living on Dodge is that it was the busiest street in town. I lived at 55th & Jackson which is 6 blocks south of Dodge. Remember the tornado in the mid 70's and the blizzard of 76. Coldest temp during my stay was 33 below and the highest was 110. Enjoyed my time there but I do not miss the wild weather.

I understand your problem. I used to do family research on the web and there were a number of sites that had good information, then, Ancestry came along and realized they could charge an annual fee to those doing research. It allowed them to buy all the free sites so now when you do research you think you are on to something and the trail leads to Ancestry asking for money. Glad I did 7 generations back before Ancestry took over. The same thing happens when you post about an adapter for a T-5 transmission and someone comes along and starts charging for the same information. We have to be careful about complaining too much. It could allow Government to come in to "fix" the problem and regulate the Internet. We all know what happens when the government gets involved, we lose some of our freedom.

I have just spent the last hour reading all these posts and I own a modified Desoto so I do not have a dog in the fight. I have quoted the above paragraph to point out to Jim that maybe he should consider changing the bylaws of the club. The bylaws seem to present the notion that modified cars are not welcome. It seems like a simple change so that zealous members will allow every car on the fairgrounds in future meets and the "majority" can have fun with their cars and not be criticized for having a wrong hubcap. I enjoy old cars and just had to comment with a simple solution to the problem.

I lived in Omaha in the 70's. I remember 1974 on January 21 it was 33 below zero and on July 21 it was 110. That was a 143 degree swing in temperature in 6 months. I am glad I live in Texas now.

When they develop the electric airplane then I believe that gas will be obsolete.
