  1. Our best to you, pat & the coop!
  2. Happy new year all!
  3. XL and gray is great, see you in 7 months!
  4. Yeah that's right, an indoor event. Perfect to chase away the winter blahs and welcome in February. I'll be there Greg, might even try to find a room Saturday night if you want to do two days.
  5. Pekka - I'll pick one up in person this summer. Looks great!
  6. Personally for me offer of savusauna, a couple good beers and some good conversation is all thats needed to get me to Finland. I'm a cheap date! How long a trip is the drive and boat from Germany, couple nights on the boat and a few days driving? Pekka the car looks good in Primer. Heck thats about halfway done! I am sure you will find time to complete the paint. If not, well I am a cheap worker too. We will likely spend a couple days in Lappeenranta then drive north to Raahe and finally to Oulunsalo where the rest of the family is. Most likely an overnight near Vaala on the way north as well, that's where the family farm exists.
  7. Certainly willing to carpool if anyone from Mass is interested. 8. Love all that vinatage speed equipment. Hopefully one day my engine bay will include some of those goodies.
  9. I was just informed by my bride that we will be in Finland this summer for a couple weeks to visit her family again. Exact dates to be decided in February, but for now we are thinking arrival will be late July. So in the spirit of my past trips to St. Johnsbury and the Catskills I thought I'd post to see if there was interest in getting a few of our Scandinavian and northern european friends to meet in Finland this summer for a mini p15-d24 Scandinavian rally. Sadly, I won't be able to bring my car with me, but I'm sure you guys can keep my mind off her by supplying adequate distraction in the form of 40's mopars and a couple of shots of Koskenkorva! So what say all you gents in Sweden, and Norway (even Germany)... Let's plan something!
  10. http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/black-and-white-1948-high-angle-policeman-stops-stock-video-footage/2022-382 Check out the '42 hauling a trailer! (and the very respectable highway traffic speed.) http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/cars-driving-on-an-eight-lane-highway-stock-video-footage/117297660
  11. Some cool old videos of the daily grind, 1944&45 traffic in NYC. Love to watching these old mopar's in their time. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4307692293955755136 http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/black-and-white-1945-low-angle-traffic-and-taxis-stock-video-footage/2022-276 http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/1940s-high-angle-traffic-on-city-street-with-stock-video-footage/586-54 http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/black-and-white-1945-low-angle-traffic-and-taxis-stock-video-footage/2022-276
  12. Hey Robin - I don't think we can view the link unless you open the picture to the public to view. I tried the link logged into my FB account and it says its not available.
  13. You can find this beauty. http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/2762721690.html I definitely need to find a house with a HUGE garage.
  14. Nice work! Let's see the plymouth cartoon too!
  15. Came across this image on one of the photo sharing sights. Hadn't seen it posted before so I figured I share it. Wish I knew where this was rotting away. I'd love to see some more shots of the modifications to accomodate the bed, and the body blending that was done on the roof. Bob D - This one is right up your alley. Mark
  16. I thought they might have been done by the same artist, but after looking at the differences, it appears they might have been different.
  17. Sam say Merry Christmas... (he's a party dog... don't let that expressionless face fool you...)
  18. ....and something wet in every cup! My best to you all this season. - Mark

    Ouch

Obviously she left her brain in the electric shopping cart at walmart.
  20. Reminds me of this truck... http://www.pixarcars.tv/html/cars-mater-01.html
  21. Bunch 'o salted potatoes there for sure!
  22. Well, my excuse is, I had to wait for the cereal boxes... I've decided to make templates of the guards so when I drill the holes, it's a one and done experience. Works had me side tracked here in Columbus, so the templates and the guards will likely wait for my week off between Christmas and new years. One thing I found after I made the templates was that the studs on the guards are definitely not mirror image. It appears as though they where attached wherever the mfr felt like doing it that shift. I'll post photos of the install for future posterity as I'm doing the deed.

  24. I didn't see any spark plugs? Could it be compressed air is all that's running thru that hose? Also without a cooling system, and a complete lack of oil sump, I would suspect heat from combustion would burn it up quick. me thinks this one is just a machinists folly.
  25. "reserve not met"
