@Plymouthy Adams all true...I know I've been bitten by knockoffs and companies that are Amazon one day wonders...so I do tend to align with companies with a better "name" if I'm gonna buy a tool I want to last beyond a single use. 😃

To some degreee I agree with you, but I do know that some tools are knockoffs and just don't work as good as the "original". Sadly I don't have the $$ to buy a pile of them all to compare.

Anyone find anyone that DID acquire the tooling? -
Hard plumb to the carb from the pump. Only rubber if from the line by the rad to the pump, about 5". I drove in 95°F this summer with no issues. Have a stock heat shield and moved the line away from the manifild slighly, zero issues.

@Los_Control yah, my friend is doing the final body work/paint. He's won awards for his work and I trust his skill implicitly. He's been in body work for 25+ years and was the top guy at his shop before he went out on his own. @Dave72dt yah I have MIG so it it what it is. All spotted together and I did use a flashlight in the dark to find misses. I believe most of those were thin metal exposed when blasted....but they were also some of my first welds doing thin metal in long lengths....I just know Tony told me he saw my progression as he worked on parts.

I hear ya, this weekend starts putting the renter's vehicles in the shed, getting the plow on the wheeler, make sure the blower is happy, chop fown all the summer growth in the gardens, clean out the vegi garden, lay the hoses out to drain and roll up on a warm(er) day, put away all the wife's ornaments, prep the (evil) leaf blower and start to blow leaves into the woods and litterally blow the shop out with said (evil) leaf blower and make it tidy. Also, make sure that boiler is working in the shop and do a few test runs of the minisplit in the shed. I LOVE winter and am hoping this year we actually get more snow than the last few years.

Cab back from blast. Exposed a few spots that I missed from my early time welding. Primed and roof being worked.

Pilothouse Front Fender Installation
ggdad1951 replied to Jocko_51_B3B's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
I used body caulk from 3M and there SHOULD be a small gap there. The flanges and such will never lay flat against each other once you bolt it up. Original gaskets I've seen were pretty much flat, some people use a gasket with a bit that sticks up above the body and IMO that just looks dumb. Short answer is orginal had a gap, and that gap may not be consistent.
