One thing to help is to watch from the other side to see what needs to be done.

Well, the weekend was busy! Running on 18V instead of 12V (wheeler battery had a bad cell) so its a bit FAST, and I need to figure out how to stiffen the whole thing so the bounce stops. But I'm happy! 38964.mp4 38965.mp4

Those should be the trucks with the extended hood and fenders, about 10" longer if I remember right.

Still a B1 or B2 grill, just some oddly slapped on chrome/stainless. Many trucks got titled as the year they were FIRST titled, so it coudl be a 50 that was first titled in 51....back in the day they weren't so worried about things as we (gov't) is now.
-
Yah, not a '51 (registration of year can always be..interesting), but a 48-50. Nose, door crease, drip rail and door handle all say the earlier years of the B series.

Vent Window Swivel Post Replacement
ggdad1951 replied to Jocko_51_B3B's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Should be a semitubular sytle rivets holding that in place so it doesn't shift around and wear parts over time. If you can tell me the dia and clinch thickness, I can see if my stash has any and I can send them to you via USPS.- 4 replies

Honestly, considering we are losing vendors it seems monthly, I am glad SOMEONE at least is doing some stuff. -

Ebay. You can also poke on FB with "Doug Crozier" as he has a pile of parts. -
Electric wiper motor instead of vacuum

For FEF I used a period 6V system so that was easy! For TODD I bought the NewPort Engineering wiper set up. Slick and drop in IMO for 12V. -

Rebuilding Original Water Valves
ggdad1951 replied to Paul Hatfield's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Well I paid over $450 for a NOS one about 8 years ago...so with inflation and such, mid 500's might be about right. -

Photo dump from me below. A smaller show than "normal", but filled with great people and times! Bonus was in my layover time I got to help out with the adoption of the newest family member! Also some random night shots of stuff. Thanks again Tim, I can't wait for next year! -

1948 Dodge Dually Flat Bed Thread
ggdad1951 replied to billrigsby's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Found the thread from a few years back...mixed bag of answers and likey why I was thinking no stock options. But I'd tend to think if the profile looks like the pics from Merle you'd be a stock as possible. -

Yah 2 years ago when I was researching for a stock flatbed the group think here was all aftermarket. When I get home next week ill have to paw thru the parts books and old threads. -

I think the fuzzy goes up and the clip closes around the metal bead. -

From what I was told 2 years ago here, the B series had no " factory" beds....for whatever that is worth. -
Looks more like MoPaRs in the park? No BTT50's tag in the window. Sad they didn't include a B3/4 in the B series pics.

Tip linkage pivots all welded in. I do have some heat deflection at the front pivot to deal with, but not that big of a deal, I will fix after the Q. Also dropped the turbo back on with the new spacer for clearance.
