ya might have to use your imagination on these cuz these are original seals that are in poor condition and partially missing... on the cab, the seal starts at the bottom of the rear of the door frame and continues to the seam on the A-pillar: on the sill, the seal goes from the A-pillar to the rear of the door frame but does not cross to the cab sill: on the door, the seal goes from above the vent window, between the hinges, to the bottom of the door:

2014 was the year of overhauls: the Blue Bomber heater+interior, the JD 425 engine, the Saturn engine+brakes+steering+transmission, the Subaru engine+steering, the bathroom shower plumbing...those were all unplanned projects that gave me more time to consider this old Dodge rebuild after it kinda pooped out on me in May. I tried to restart it the other day, it ran for 3 seconds then quit, probably fuel-fouled the spark plugs. After further review, I plan on pulling the motor that has been in this truck since maybe the 60s and figure out what is wrong with it...if it's fixable, I'll do the repairs and get it looking nice; otherwise, I'll have to switch over to one of the spare engines I have accumulated. So the first step was to get the truck into position closer to the house cuz I'll probably be doing most of the work outside anyways. Not wanting to rut up my yard, I employed the 425 and a tow rope to jerk the beast out of the ground that it has started to sink into, then with the help of a lady friend, we guided the thing into place. Let the fun commence!

the heat riser is easy to get to when the motor is out...with the valve shaft removed, two bolts + nuts can be installed into the holes in the manifold if the manifold isn't split

NOSpart: 1316266 this manifold heat control package was one of my 1st eBay purchases back in '98 and I had the contraption installed...however, after further review, I'll be carefully removing this soon as I prefer not to drive the truck when the weather cools off enough for this to be useful

Anybody got a clue as to what those contraptions are in the windshield? I'm guessing it's some sort of anti-glare lens or sumthin'ruther cuz of all the snow as I've seen similar doohickies that were tinted, but ain't too certain as those seem clear...

When I got replacement door glass cut for the '48 & '49 at the local auto glass shop, they did an OK job but must have been in a hurry to go fishing the day I picked up their work back in '04. When I asked how to set the glass in the frames, the guy fished around in a box and tossed three mostly used rolls of tape at me, told me to use that, then left the shop area abruptly (lunch taco revenge, maybe?) The tape was mostly stuck to itself, very hard to peel off and would tear easily, and really didn't stick as much as wedge the glass in the frames. That glass never has set in the frames right, as winding the windows is still a two-handed chore sometimes assisted with creative german as the glass can get hung up in the door channel weatherstripping and come unseated from the frame. But it's just as well as I need to disassemble those doors to clean them up sometime. I would suggest contacting a local glass cutter, but ya might get the brushoff I got so who knows what the right answer might be

I strongly recommend having the fuel tank professionally cleaned and coated...I had one tank Renu'd in '96, another in '04, both are still intact
