  5. Thanks Reg for your help,but I see 15 cm ,not 15",right?My IND 251 engine doesn't have oil filter too.Since 1987 I put/change oil 4 quarts imp.=4,32 liters.I still have ERIC's e-mail(townwagon@hotmail.com) when I bought him the hood badges in april' 2003.:)Regards.
  6. Anyone knows if Eric Bannerman still sell Dodge parts.I want to buy a B3-B front hood male-goat.
  7. Reg,you have the same engine IND 251 mine.My oil dipstick is broken. Can you do me a favor(pic)? What is the measure of it.Do you put too 4 quarts imperial=4,32 liters, when you change the oil?
  8. Long ago,but not so very long ago The world was different,oh yes it was You settled down and you built a town and make it live And you watched it grow It was your town Time goes by,time brings changes, you change, too Nothing comes that you can't handle,so on you go Never see it comig, the world caves in on you On your town Nothing you can do Main street isn't main street anymore Lights don't shine as brightly as they shone before Tell the truth, lights don't shine at all In your town Sun comes up each morning Just like it's always done Get up,go to work, start the day Open up for business that's never gonna come As the world rolls by a milion miles away Main street isn't main street anymore No one seems to need us like they did before It's hard to find areason left to stay But it's our town Love it anyway Come what may,it's our town. I tried to send for all you in youtube, but I can't.Try to know this beautiful music from CARS movies.Good Luck for all friends.
  9. I used last year spray chrome.
  10. FRANKIE47 says""Give us the serial number stamped on the pad by the distributor and someone here will decipher the year and type."" ""Si, Senor...mucho gusto mi amigo"". Hey Frankie, what do you have to say for me about the serial number(year and type)?.Do you remember or not?Drink or ....?Forgot...?Oh I remember, you only know about roosters. You never answer completely a question,Why?
  11. Is the correct capacity 4 qts imperial=4,32 liters.(?) IND251-69661C My dipstick is broken, but still appear "4 qts imp".I noticed too when I drain the water by the radiator **** it is dangerous to fall water into the dipstick hole.Did you understand my english Frankie?
  12. Hello guys.Today I noticed that my engine "IND 251" has its dipstick not in the block, but in the oil pan(same side).Who knows about this?
  13. In the bottom of my original B3-B(1952),VIN 90099559(DG-1) is casted D 4.1 1235
  14. A big pic to see which type.
  15. KEY LARGO -1948:eek:
  16. Merle,my major problem is to find here in my small city(50.000 hab) and adjacents cities a shock that is very shorter. My option is to do a work with my handcraftsman. We have to change the angle, like as Frankie spoke and change the distance between the mount points. Here dont have original parts for this old cars.I remember last year, that a guy of this forum saw my new drag link and says "Fernando your drag link is the only one I have seen with two adjusting screw".The pleasure of fighting and learning is very tasty.
  17. Yes,center to center of the mount studs(pics),sits on the ground(garage).Actual shock is which I bought two days ago(NAKATA).Anterior is which was in place 10 years ago(MONROE).
  18. According Dave information: ANTERIOR SHOCK: Distance between rear mounting points=34cm. collapsed length=32cm 1/2 travel=10cm 34---->42cm(better) ACTUAL SHOCK Distance between rear mounting points=34cm collapsed length=37cm 1/2 travel=12,5cm 34---->49,5cm(worse) Pics of my rear mounting points rusted. I learned a new subject today, about "Shock Absorber Equalization".Equalization means withdraw the air or gas mixed with the oil
  19. Dave, this is a easy manner to find the correct shock absorber. mounting points distance=collapsed length+1/2 shock travel
  20. Frank, I spoke with my handcraftsman and he said if I jack up the bed and let the axle droop with SA completely closed it can break the shock absorber.
  21. I was in doubt, write see or watch.I was thinking,if I jack up the bed sure it will fit,but after without the jack can break the shock, because it is already all closed. All the weight of the bed/chassis will force it closed. What do you think?Merle,Greg g and grey beard can say us something,no?My english isnt like Reg wanted, but the important is to learn with you.
  22. Right Frankie, rear too long.I bought the same(F&R) because I believed in manual.Compressed length:16.000",Extended length:25.000",Travel length:9.500".I am not understanding where is the problem,I still didnt watch the problem.I will try to send you a pic today afternoon. Now here is 11:00 hs.Thanks.WHAT CAN I DO NOW?CHANGE THE REAR (SA) FOR ONE TOO SHORT?
  23. SA=shock absorber. The rear SA is completely closed and dont line up with the pin, it is still more great.Ok?
  24. Today I put the new front shock absorbers, but the rear not.It was all closed and didnt get,it didnt line up.What can I do to solve?According the manual the front is the same rear SA.Anyone can help me?
