  1. I should get a "Hula Girl" for PLYWOOD's dash. Looks very nice, Robin.
  2. Hi Shawn, there is also a Chrysler group here on Yahoo that has alot of really great guys and info. Search PWHM, which stands for Post War Heavy Matal; or search Chrysler 1946 - 1948. Welcome, indeed. Charlie in AZ
  3. Also, there is a really nice 1950 PLYMOUTH CRANBROOK 2dr sedan, black asking price is $6,900. A person couldn't possibly come close to restoring a car like this for $6,900. It is better appearing than the $13,000 black Plymouth 3 indow biz coupe
  4. Hello, there is currently a really nice looking 1950 Plymouth Biz Coupe for sale on "Trader Online" asking $13,000 and it is all done ready to go.
  5. Hi Bob, thanks for the heads up. I would like to get a copy of their newsletter, if possible, Best, Charlie
  6. 1-21-09, hopefully not Hillary's first day.
  7. Half hour to go in AZ, thanks for making the effort to sign us in the rain. Best wishes to all for a very Happy New Year. Charlie & PLYWOOD in AZ
  8. I'll be attending B-J on the 16th, 17th & 18th, with my senior discount. Then I'll watch the big dollar cars on Speed Channel.
  9. I always check for a "short" first, then a possible loose socket(vibrations).
  10. Lou, are you a RAP DJ to need to have access to the controls continuously?

    New Guy

Seems like we may have a TYLER from Kentucky reunion in the makings here, Folks.
  12. Hi all, hope you all had a very Merry Chritmas. I was surfing 1946 Plymouth on Google and came across this very interesting site, Roy's Garage, and saw he has a very interesting and very detailed account of hot rodding a 1946 P15 4 door sedan. www.royshotrodgarage.com Anyway, give it a look. He has alot of other interesting stuff, as well. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Charlie in AZ
  13. John, may I suggest you paint the underside of the dash a light grey color? In the future, when you work under the dash, it will be easier to see because the light grey will reflect light better than black. I have done it to two old pickups and it was always easier to see things when doing subsequent work under thdash. Merry Christmas, Charlie in PLYWOOD
  14. Merry Christmas, we all enjoy hearing about your car, it's good days and bad days stories, because it is just like being in the garage with you, enjoying our collective hobby. As for me, I sure enjoyed the ride down and back on that country road. My Plywood is locked up in storage and I can't even get to drive it until after the first of the year, so didn't we have a blast? Merry Christmas All. Charlie in AZ
  15. Cover the front of that modern car with the front of another old Plymouth
  16. These are wind buffers that go inside the door window frames in the upper rear top corner of all four windows. They prevent the wind from making that buffeting/whooping ear irritating whump noise. I know this because the same technique is still used in cross country off road racing like the Baja 500.
  17. Those aren't Ford door handles.
  18. It is even going to freeze here in AZ tonight. Thanks for taking the time to make us all a greeting sign. Charlie in AZ (PLYWOOD)
  19. In WA, my PLYWOOD was registered with the engine number; when I moved to AZ, the state agent searched and uncovered the factory VIN on the passenger door post.
  20. Hi Robert, what a cool time travel photo. I can just hear "IN THE MOOD" playing on an AM radio, drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon and splashing on some Mennen colgne. Thanks for the reminder of my youth.
  21. Happy Birthday Tim, seems strange that you and my Chevy pickup are the same age. Charlie in AZ
  22. Have a safe trip, you are welcome anytime.
  23. Hi Buddies and Budettes, I am organizing a fun car tour event on Friday, December 8th, to tour two collector car garages/storage facilties and lunch at the locally famous Durant's Steakhouse; approximately 10 AM - 3:00 PM. Any of you in the Phoenix area are welcome to attend. This month's event is an activity for the Scottsdale Newcomers Club Car Club, but as host/event planner I am opening the invite to my fellow car/truck groups. If interested, send an email to tikuayla@yahoo.com, thats me, Charlie Olson, and I'll send you the info. Happy Thanksgiving to all, Charlie in AZ
  24. Hi all, sorry you have to wait, but I received a very humorous series of photos from somewhere in the UK and I don't know how to share them with the group. Don C, as helpful as always, has agreed to post them from my email to him, when he is back home, from working on the road, the day after T day. Stay tuned, you will never have a bad day in the garage or under the shade tree again when working on your MoPar. Happy Thanksgiving to the entire P15-D24 family. Charlie in AZ
  25. On or off, basically is it a coat and tie feel or a casual feel you want when you are out and about. On = more formal; off = less formal; either way, still a gent.
