  1. Wiener Queen Date unknown Hold the mustard.
  2. More than likely it was whomever posted it to a social media site 100 years after the photo was taken..but, yes, I agree with you that they appear to be in WW1 soldiers kit.
  3. I just copied what was posted with the picture.
  4. 1917 University of Michigan Student Telephone Techs Learning To Climb Poles.
  5. Yeah, what he said.
  6. This beast is almost ready. Bonneville is only 3 weeks away. The H&F #404 1934 Desoto Airflow will be there. This isn't your grandfather's blown in line 8 cylinder 1937 Chrysler motor.
  7. Looks like you need a cap for your grease cup. Here is what some joker did to his Model T grease cup.
  8. When I did my '52, I tackled the drivers side first and it came apart fairly easy so, I took my time and did a lot of cleaning and other stuff and took my time putting it back together. Then I started on the right side and it all went south. I did everything I could think of, heat, beat, heat, repeat, penetrating oil, more heat and beat, and, if my failing memory servers me right, I ended up using a rivet gun to drive that s.o.b. out. Worked late that day and that's for sure.
  9. Wouldn't it be a Serial Number Number?
  10. Had a neighbor that lived in N.Y.C. and had a summer place up the road from us. He had a Green 1954 Ford wagon that he kept at his summer place and used it when he was up for the summer. I can still see that old Ford in my mind. He was still driving it well into the 70's when I left the area. Don't know whatever became of that old beast. The guy's name was Sal Sirugo. He became a famous artist after convalescing from being burned during WW2. He was in a tank and was severely burned. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. I worked for him a couple of summers. Probably the nicest guy I ever knew. He passed 4 years ago. He left quite an impression on me.
  11. V.I.N. number. Hot water heater.
  12. "I have a 48 club coupe with a title and complete running works" Why not get tags for this one then switch the bodies and don't tell no one.
  13. Unfortunately it was kinda overcast and the ships are painted all Hot Rod flat black ('Murdered Out' as the hep cats of today say) and I couldn't see much in my viewfinder so it was a hit and miss proposition.
  14. Went down to the wharf in Newburgh, N.Y. to see the replicas of the Nina and Pinta that are docked there until tomorrow am, when they set sail for Albany. It's about 90 miles. They depart at 5am and hope to arrive by 4pm. If you look on a map, you can see why....it's all uphill.
  15. Steel Spring Tire, from Germany 1917.
  16. That's your opinion and you are welcome to it. I found the sentence structure humorous, that's all. "Guy has been living down the street for 2 years and didn't know it." It's not like he has dementia and I was making fun of that. Seems to me he is in full possession of his faculties and on the ball as far as tuning an old MoPar. Sheesh, lighten up.
  17. Why not contact Scarebird directly?
