  1. I had a sign company cover the letters on mine with red and surround it with a white pin stripe on the black tailgate. WOW
  2. my 1950 fargo plate says AFARGOA and my ford panel truck plate says OLDRNME
  3. that looks like mine
  4. I would have to look at them for condition but I cut the ends off a 1948 dodge box to use on my model aa ford project. The stake pockets weren't cut during removal, but I didn't really look at them as they weren't in my plan. I'm in North Dakota
  5. are the 48 high side ones the same?
  6. Just saying sometime when you quit looking for something it just kinda finds you. The car owner asked me to buy the car and I removed the carb then another local guy called me about his need for the engine block and the net was a cost of $75, I always prefer being lucky to being good, Although my truck runs great now so I'll probably not mess with a good thing and just hang on to it for the future.
  7. I was lucky enought to get a 1957 dodge car 2 barrel intake, carb and air cleaner off a car for $75. It should have all the linkage as I removed it
  8. I'm in Langdon,ND call me at 701 370 1678
  9. this clears up what he is trying to do. The problem however isn't the clutch it is the teeth on the fluid drive,
  10. I have a local shop that has a forklift with a 1952 plymouth flathead and a fluid drive type transmission with a floor shift. They need to replace the flywheel and have the transmission and clutch removed, They are unsure how to remove the fluid drive part to get to the flywheel . Anyone care to help with ideas or call them with suggestions?
  11. I'll be there as a spectator sat and sun. hope to see mike there again
  12. I thought that type of rear fenders stopped in 1950. Also the front fender ribbets are missing( covered over)
  13. how about a list of what they are according to their parking order. All I can say is WOW , no wonder you have such great knowledge of old cars and trucks
  14. I'm a long ways from you in ND but I think I have that shaft.
  15. dig those wood sunvisors
  16. the wheels are western hurricanes, the trim rings are stock with chrome risors, the turn signals are 1956 jeep( dual element and factory chrome), the plate holder is two bent wrenches
  17. yep that's the truck that lives in my garage. Both of the indoor shows that I've been to stated that you weren't able to sit by your car or truck due to previous "PROBLEMS". I don't know??? There was 100 entrys in this show and to my knowledge I was the only one spending time there talking to the public. The street rod in front of me I saw the owners unload it and I never saw them again for two days. I enjoyed talking with all the "car" guys and girls
  18. if anyone is interested my truck is on the net. Go to toppers car show and click on the 2010 show pictures. my truck is the black fargo on the first page. I would have the link but I'm just not up to speed on such things. You weren't permitted to sit by your truck but I stood with it and visited with the public for 2 days. My favorite conversation was a gentleman who asked to look inside. I said ok and he told me he drove a similiar dodge truck on his honeymoon but it wasn't that nice.
  19. I'm glad the panel will go to a good home. old truck adoption is a good thing. You can come visit me if ND is on the way . LOL
  20. has anyone seen the dodge panel truck on ebay?
  21. I saw a 1949 dodge 1 ton cab and chassis in my town. I was able to buy it for a possible drive to work truck for $75. It had no brakes and no box. I asked around looking for a similiar 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck to put the 230 motor in. I was approached my an older feller to buy his 1948 b1b for $1000. I bought it and started to see what I needed to make one out of two. While putting together a plan I saw an ad for an auction with a 1950 Fargo 1/2 truck. I bought the Fargo for $400 Canadian and imported it from Canada. The Fargo became my project and it became a " make one from 3" project. The fargo now has been to a few shows and continues to be a stable mate for my 1953 Ford Panel truck street rod.
  22. I like your tag. on my 1950 fargo AFARGOA on my ford panel truck OLDRNME on my pickup IYR4U
  23. I think for that money it should have grill bars, correct hupcaps , and the correct tailgate.
