  1. Did any of you know these were made in Mexico? I don't know why they can't be offered in the US.
  2. That's what I thought was originally on there.
  3. My brother had purchased this radio and frame when he owned the truck. It's a model 819.
  4. I just took the picture of these arms and blades I have and can't tell by Don Bunn's book which style is correct. Three of them have the bolt-on type and the bottom one looks more modern era to me. The two middle arms are bent toward the blade end. If you can't see well enough I can retake the picture.
  5. What year is that Tony? Has that angled part behind the door been modified? It kind of looks out of place with everything else being curved.
  6. Some of you that have a subscription to Hemmings may have seen an ad for this website in a past issue but I just ran across it and had a look. http://www.goheartland.com/VintageVehicles/cars/cars.html#49%20Dodge%20Meadowbrook
  7. Very cool. Good find.
  8. Very nice. That's what I'm going to do when I win the lottery that I don't play or when my ship comes in that can't dock at my house.
  9. I grew up learning on a push button transmission and "Drive" was either the first button or the next one down. When we got the '68 Plymouth it had the shift on the column. I stalled it at a stop sign and, when I refired it, I just moved the lever "down 1". Needless to say I started backing up. Good thing there wasn't anyone behind us.
  10. Todd, I like both trucks, but the '53 especially. Is it a 1 1/2 ton too?
  11. Very enjoyable film.
  12. Here is a picture of my completed clock. I really like the way it turned out and it'll get a lot of use. Thanks once again. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m58/52b3b108/Trucks/PilotHouseTrucks/PilothouseClock.jpg?
  13. I was telling my brother about the Pilothouse clock plans we got in our Christmas package. He went to his basement and brought up a clock that was the perfect size for the pattern. Yesterday I sat down and cut it to fit and used a glue stick to attach it to the old face. It looks really nice and will fit perfect in my office with other Pilothouse pictures I have. Thanks for the cool stuff.
  14. Good luck on your Stude. You're much braver than I.
  15. I was asking a while ago if anyone had the clip on mirrors and if they could see very well out of them, especially the passenger side one.
  16. My wife and I have been hem-hawing the last 2-3 years about getting a digital camera but never get it done. We threw the idea out to our two boys and daughter-in-law and, bingo, we now have a nice beginner camera. Now I don't have to wait so long to use up a roll of film and then take it to get processed. Also, I can post pictures of things I have questions about much faster. As usual we're behind the curve on most things. I'm on vacation this week so hope to have it all figured out by the end of the week. I hope everyone had an ejoyable Christmas and please watch out for the other guy next weekend.
  17. That is a good fit and I think tastefully done.
  18. I Oh man, that sure makes for a good early morning laugh!!!
  19. That's really cool Lee!! Merry Christmas.
  20. Very nice looking cars and truck!!!! Welcome to the forum.
  21. Very nice carving!! He will appreciate a specially made carving over one that you would've bought somewhere else.
  22. Does anyone use the 4" type that clip at the top of the doors? If so, how is the visibility, especially in the passenger side one?
  23. The buildings of old car dealerships are awesome. There is a dealership in Carroll, Iowa that is now sitting empty because they moved to an old KMart building where they have more room. The old building has decorative brick and loads of character but it was in the middle of downtown, as most usually were. If I could ever win the lottery I'd buy it and fill it full of Pilothouse trucks and other old MOPARS. I just know it'll eventually be altered into something indistinguishable.
  24. Allan, I just sent you three picture of my truck.
