Were all of the Pilothouse's doors set up for arm rests whether they came with them or not? Mine didn't have arm rests but I'll use your idea if it's set up that way behind the door panel. That's my biggest fear is to have a handle torn off.
Ken, that's the same green my pickup was and when my brother had it repainted I think the body shop came pretty close. That was 20 years ago though. Whenever you get it painted, please offer the paint codes your came up with.
I have it set up that way with 15" wheels. The only problem I have is the hub caps spin a little and bend over the valve stems. There is an insert piece (I can't remember what the tire guy called it but I think it's used for big trucks)you can buy to put in the hole in the rim to make it more rigid so the valve stem won't bend. I haven't done it yet because it isn't driven that much right now.
I over did it (arthritis) with the fall chores yesterday and didn't feel well enough to get out of the recliner when it was time for the chat. For those who have never participated it's a very nice time with instant feedback on whatever's being discussed.
I just tried the link and it worked for me, Merle. Maybe someone else will test it and give another opinion so I know if I have to do something different.
Hopefully this can remain a constant thread people can come to to test what they are trying to post or changes they're making to their profile. I've made a number of mistakes already and this way you can work out the kinks before you post something.
Having said all of that, I hope my signature shows up now.
There are pictures of my trucks below if I did the link to my Car Domain correctly. The '83 was sold last winter but it ran really well for everything it had been put through.
