  1. 10-30: At Hwy 61 Liquor again for some spiced rum (black cherry). My gosh the rum and coke hit me hard later on....cranked some tunes after pizza and cheese bread with the fam. The shadow in the middle is not a dome on top of a building, it's my head and shoulders. ?
  2. 10-30: The kids wanted in on a picture. Snapping all these pics reminded me of how grateful I am for digital photos. No money spent on developing the film from the 'ol kodak ?
  3. 10-30: On our way to Domino's for a pizza, we stopped at Kwik Trip for Cokes.
  4. 10-30: After work I fired up the Meadowbrook and made a quick stop at the bank. When I left there, I was driving with the window down because it was so beautiful and some dude on the far side of the street (double lane downtown) hollered at me and said: "Nice car! I took a picture and I'm gonna put it on Facebook! It's gotta be a one of a kind!" I waved and honked the horn. I love it when people appreciate the car. As I kept going, I thought about the original owner (Ray Sebo) driving on these very streets back in the 50s. 70 years later the car still roams these streets. Pic 2: at home to pick up kids.
  5. No one here will slam you for anything you decide to do to your car. That's the biggest thing, it's YOUR car. We're all going to have our opinions. Keep us updated; we love this stuff!
  6. Show us pictures please. My opinions: Leave it 6v, leave the points in it, go with the original brakes (rebuilt), drive it...and often. Check out my "Me and the Meadowbrook" thread and you'll understand.
  7. Different angle at Sugarloaf Antiques. This building used to be a brewery a long time ago. Also, stopped at Hwy 61 liquor for some "This ain't your father's root beer." It hit the spot I must say ?
  8. 10-28: Most if the snow melted. After work I stopped to get gas and had a 15 minute conversation with a guy who liked the Meadowbrook. He said he has a 1950 1/2 ton Dodge truck that runs but is missing the driveshaft. It was fun chatting with him. This building is owned by a friend of mine. His '27 Model T is in there. Parked next to the building is my loader... I was checking up on it.
  9. 10-28: Been driving the Meadowbrook to work every day. Monday and Tuesday were snowy and icy. The roads were patchy and really bad in spots. I'm a firm believer in Fluid Drive on bad roads. I've tested it in the past. Who needs traction control?
  10. Cool pics fellas. And, love your cars. I'm glad my car is a rust bucket because I'll be driving it year round ?
  11. 10-24: Tonite me and my oldest daughter went out for a 2 hour night cruise on some back roads. It was chilly and spooky. We had great warmth with the heater on low. It was a fantastic ride and gave us some good dad/daughter time. The Meadowbrook ran really nice and gave us that lulled feeling for the whole trip. We capped it off with a stop at DQ for sundaes. The employee at the drive thru asked about the car and really liked it. What a great evening. Sorry I didn't snap any pics this time.

    Tour

Looking good! My Meadowbrook is rusty and crusty, perfect for a cruise like that. Looks like fun?
  13. 10-16: My son and I gassed up and took a cruise to visit my brother. It was a chilly 32 degrees, so heater on. Thermostat only halfway though, and fan on low. The Meadowbrook ran great at 55mph. I could have driven all night! Maybe tomorrow ?
  14. 10-15: Capped off the evening with a short cruise; just me and my daughter. Here we're mailing a bill since I forgot to leave it for the carrier.
  15. 10-15: After work I drove to Hwy 61 Liquor for some Henry's hard soda ? Had the heater on low as it was chilly and windy. Pic 2: Had to park in front of the neighbor's. Later I'll take her back to the garage. Got a couple of thumbs up and some strange looks too. ?
  16. 10-14: Been driving the Meadowbrook to work every day this week. I have the oldest car on the road every day, at least that I've seen. ? Now that my e-brake is working good I don't have to worry about rolling down into the neighboring business' grass. ? I'm happy to see the car after work is done! Pic 1: 7:50am Pic 2: last one to leave
  17. That's a good question. Never thought of that. My manual says to add a little 10w to thin it out in cold weather. I might do that soon.
  18. 10-12: Tonight's maintenance: fill up steering box. It was low, so I'm glad I remembered ?
  19. No, it's 6v. The bright lights do work excellent. I think my phone's camera probably distorted how bright they really are though.
  20. 10-9: Home at last! Then later the kids and I drove to visit my brother. We went for a nice long night criuse. He drove. I got to sit in the back and be chauffeured. ? After the ride we sat in the car until 2am and laughed our heads off reminiscing about the early 80s.
  21. 10-9: About ready to lower the hoist. Then, getting ready to head home. I took the interstate @65mph.
  22. 10-9: So while under there I adjusted the E-brake, changed the transmission oil, topped off the rear axle oil, greased all zerks, adjusted all 4 brakes, sprayed up rusty bolts, snugged oil pan bolts and fuel pump bolts, re-routed my gas line from bowl up to filter, and checked fluid level in master cylinder (after car was back on the ground). I bought some more 15w-40 for the next oil change (in maybe another 500 miles).
  23. 10-9: It's a huge barn-shop with an awesome hoist.
