Very nice, Is the color black or a deep deep blue.

What size engine? And what is the grill replacement piece. I assume it is vented some how.

Very nice.

love your truck......I don't think my restoration will be quite as nice...did your truck come with a very low cab? i've never seen one that low

:)

No, the roof height is non-standard.

She looked like this...

Looks very nice what I want to know is how much did you chop out of the top ? Carl

The 4" chop was done before I bought the truck.

beautiful truck, I am in the process of getting ready to chop mine too. Where did you get those awesome taillights? are they stock? mine did not come with any taillights. Bud

The tail lights were a gift - I believe they are Stateside Hot Rod replacements.

That just happens to be my favourite part, too. ;)

Very tasteful and beautifully done.

Thanks.

Nice truck. Did you have to do a lot of work on the tailgate or did you buy a new one from Classic Enterprises?

All the metal is original. The square-ish boxing at the top of the gate was bent out of shape, so I cut it in sections to bend it straight & re-welded it.

Lookin' good Stef. The interior looks nice. I like the center console. I also like the tail light brackets. Where'd you find them?

Looks like it'll be a blast to drive.

Enjoy,

Merle

Thanks Merle. It means a lot coming from you. The brackets for the tail lights are a custom idea - I fixed them inside the tailgate hinges & just bent 'em round. The center console was a complete fabrication by my upholsterer & a surprise to me. I was over the moon with his achievements, especially considering the truck had NO interior whatsoever.

And believe me, it sure is a blast to drive.

The front panel of the buck which backs up to the cab had a hole in the bottom left corner - I'm assuming this was for electrics, since the fuel filler is on the cab itself. I didn't like the hole, so I plugged it with the lid from my old hash grinder - a subtle reminder for me to never smoke that sh*t again!

The colour is black & it's cellulose. The interior paint is black 2-pack.

The truck had already been rodded using a '70 Camaro as the donor car. The old 305 was very tired & a guy I know had just built an engine for someone, but they didn't want it. I bought the fully rebuilt 350 SBC which had been bored 30 thou and dropped it onto the existing mounts. I also fitted power steering at the same time.

The grille is a custom piece I had made. It's fine stainless mesh with a half inch stainless tube surround and spacers for the mounting bolts.

I'm gonna spray it black when I get a chance.

I also just happened to be looking in a local Harley chopper bike shop & by a fluke, noticed that with slight modification, Harley Davidson chrome oil filller caps made perfect bungs for the rails at the end of the buck.

Nice job and good luck!

Many thanks.

Just thought I'd mention that yesterday I won a trophy at a local show. The Cromer Carnival is an annual event that has been running for many, many years, so you can imagine my elation at being awarded 'Ladies Choice'!

Not sure if they meant me or the truck, though....
