...in Van Nuys, CA. There were three beautiful `47 Town and Countrys, a `38 Desoto, `31 Chrysler touring sedan, `41 Dodge Business Coupe, etc. in my class and my P15 took Second!! I thought that was pretty cool beating out two T&C's that were both in beautiful condition. Guess those judges had pretty good taste LOL!

David,

Well done, Lad!

When I paint my '48 P-15 this summer I plan on doing a two-tone scheme, which will exclude me from any trophies, but it sure is nice to get a wave or a nod now-and-then, or even a grin. I think we all feel that way.

Darn it, I heard about this show Sunday afternoon, too late. I don't know how these events get by me. What a shame. Glad you enjoyed the show, your car is a beauty and the weather was great.

I do hope that when events, even (especially?) non-POC events are known to a member of the Golden State Region that they put them into the "other events" section of the region web site. I'm talkin to you David M. as you obviously knew about the event. :)

It is quick and easy to do. Any member can add an event to the calendar! And if enough members did it then the web site (and region) would be come more relevant to Plymouth owners in California.

For you guys out in California, here's a partial list of shows. This was on the Old Cars Weekly web site http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/showcalendar/. Hemmings has a similar list. Tried to post all the shows up to December 7 but guess there's a limit to the size post you can make here. List was way too long. Might want to keep checking back from time to time as they keep adding new ones as people send them in.

For all others you might want to check the calendar too. It list shows for each state.

Yes.......those nice shade trees can be hazardous to the health of your

paint job. I've been to numerous shows in shady locations, and you can

feel and see the sap that gets on your car. You need to go home and

wash or wax immediately. Or it can eat into your paint.

I failed to recognize that fact after getting my new paint job several years

ago. Now there are some pits in the paint. Live and learn I guess.

Don't know if I woulda been happy parking under thos pine trees in pollen and sap season though.

I know about the Pine Tree sap, Every year we go to the Big Bear Lake Fun Run and spend a week on the mountian, when we get home I have to spend a day washing and waxing the car to get rid of the sap.

Normspeed knows all about that sap stuff. Every year at the end of my week to 10 day visit he always says "Well its time to get rid of the sap." And some years I don't even remember us parking under any trees the whole time???

...I found out about this pretty late when Rob Smith sent me an email saying he would be there. It's the same show I posted last year and everyone told me they didn't like it because it was a "Muscle Car only show". So, didn't think anyone else was interested anyhow. Turns out they had a nice Pre-`50 class of Mopars there. I definitely plan on attending again next year and will encourage everyone in the club to do so. I would have loved to see everyone there!!

...when in fact, we were all well out of rich from falling sap and debris from the pines. Thanks to the beautiful weather with little to no wind, pollen and drifting sap was not a problem either. Great day!

Looks like Lee is a keeper:D

Lee's the perfect house guest. He knows it's time to use his return trip ticket when I change the locks.

You know what they say about fish and company....

Well here I come again. Just bought my plane ticket. Only $200 more than I've paid in past years. Maybe Normspeed and I can hook up with some of you SoCal boys along the way while I'm out there. Although our dance card is always pretty full, running the tires off the old MoMad and overdosing on car events.
