What you do with a car is a personal thing.

I think we all seen bad chops.

Yours is not given me bad vibes, I actually like it.

But that is not the same car in the profile or you have put a total different front on it ?

As David asked, what are the plans (color, shaving etc?)?

I'm one of those who is not a big fan of chopped cars. But, thats only for myself. Some of them do look good when finished though. Looks like yours will too when finished.

For me personally if I had a chopped car I'd feel like the top was coming down on me when in the car.:) Plus, I'm a little tall so wouldn't have much head room if the top was chopped. Looks like the two of you are sort of sitting too high in the seat now too. Are you going to put in lower bucket seats? Is that the gear shifter in your hand?

I don't care for chopping tops at all.

Wait a minute, thats really sharp.

OK, I changed my mind, at least one chopped top looks pretty darn cool. Thats gonna be a nice looking ride.

I like a well done, propotional chop that gets finished. We see all too many that get to this stage and are abandoned or put up for sale to someone else to finish, and that never happens.

Yours is well proportioned and will look good finished. Keep us updated!

Looking good man! I dig the hardtop treatment, and you've nailed the profile. Bloodyknuckles on here has just chopped his 50, and it turns a boxy looking profile into a cool profile.

Sorry, don't like chops, even well done ones. Makes the car look like something big sat on it and squashed it. One day there will be so few unmolested cars around, they will climb plenty in value.

I know you guys are not big fans of chopped cars. I decided to share anyway.

I love you man! (...in a beer commercial kind of way!!)

Norm, do you need a hug too? I'm not shy.

Yeah Tank, I dig yours too. I think the secret to getting the 49 onward tops to look good is in laying down the back window area to create a slightly sloper look, and you guys nailed it.

Looks good Tank, what kinda seats did you use? And did you channel the car at all? I'm curious, cause I'm trying to sort out how much I can drop mine, seeing as I'm 6'4 and would like to still be able to drive it. Hah. Thanks for the info again.

Mine is chopped 7" in the front and 8" in the back, hardtopped and airbagged. I am running the orginal seat which needs to be cut down 3-4" for me. Im 5'10" I have to duck to get in the car. Mostly because of the tall stock seat.

Thanks

Kenny Baker in Elmer Mo. Chopped my car. He is king.

I've seen some pics, over on the HAMB i think, of some really nifty

customized old 50s Mopars. Seems they were taken at a show or a

cruise in........I should have bookmarked or copied off some of them. Lookin good guys. Glendale, is that the same car you had a year or so ago?
