A friend of mine e-mailed me a bunch of pictures of old gas stations but I don't know how to transfer e-mail to the forum. Can it be done?

The other thing is if I got it it's probably been around the world already.

Just a thought - they did bring back memories - but that's not hard because I've got so many of them.

...you can choose >save attachment> and then upload the images assuming they are in a compatible jpg or gif format. If they are another format such as bmp, tga, etc. and you have a program such as Photo Editor or PhotoShop, you can open the files and the choose >save as> and choose jpg or gif from the drop down list. Then, assuming the files size is within the limits GTK has set, you can upload them to your forum posts.

Old MoPar - you got it - those are the pictures I was sent. I knew if I got them they were old. Thank you.

This is way off topic - I passed a gas station today and noticed that cigarettes and gas are about the same price now. When I was a kid cigarettes and gas were the same price .25 a gallon/pack.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Here's my car at an old gas station. This one is on private property here in MN. We toured his private collection and got to pose with his station. The building was from a station that either his dad or granddad owned. He had it moved to his home. He even went back and dug up the cement step and reinstalled that.

The Sunoco station in ToddsHarleyPix link is in the Carrilon Park Museum in Dayton,Ohio. Along with one of the original Wright Flyers airplane and part of the Miami Erie Canal. Worth the visit. Tourguide , Frank

Here's an oldie in Galena, Ks on old Rt 66......just rejuvenated by some

ladies, as a gift and coffee shop.

The wrecker truck was the inspiration for Tow Mater in the movie CARS.

Don, when they only have one pump like that I guess there is only one grade of gas. There is a office building in DC that was a drive up gas station. I remember the building well because they let up pump up bike tires and fix tubes. Those guy's were the first to tell us how to take old used oil cans and oil our bike chains, they were very helpful to some dirty faced punks. I see now the attendents don't even look at you in the modern era. Times have changed;)
