Robin (UK) Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Hey Guys, I just got my convertible into the community pages of Jay Leno's website. I don't think there's another P15 on there (yet). See it at http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/your_garage/cars/6765.shtml Maybe you could even rate the car? Thanks. Robin. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Something goofy about that site. I see a beautiful car, but it won't let me rate it. Quote
Frank Blackstone Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Just scroll down a little. Sweet ride Robin and your wife makes a beautiful addition. Quote
mackster Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Sweet ride indeed. I say post some more pictures here... Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Something goofy about that site. I see a beautiful car, but it won't let me rate it. Were you catatonic at the time you tried to rate it:D Quote
Robin (UK) Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 Sweet ride indeed. I say post some more pictures here... Here you go... Quote
Young Ed Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Robin I really like that third one in the first set. The yellow glow looks great with the red. Quote
Fireball Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Sweeeeeeeeeeet ride Robin! BTW. O/T I'm in Farnborough at the moment, went to see all the main attractions in London yesterday. Some cool sights there Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 What am I doing wrong? When I click on "post comment", it says "bad referer". I tried it from Lenos site directly also and it did the same thing. At any rate, Robin, that is a beautiful car, could not be a better picture. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 Hey Fireball, My Plymouth is away at the trim shop at the moment, otherwise I'd have happily hooked up with you to take you for a ride. In Farnborough, there is a well-known hot rod shop called North American Motor Company (the guys who have done some of the hop-up work on my car). If you have time, it might be worth you dropping in to see what they are doing. They often have some great cars in there and on the forecourt. Check their website at http://www.northamericanmotorco.com/home.htm if you drop in, say hello from me to Billy and Myles . Quote
Fireball Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Thanks for the tip Robin, they are located quite near of my usual hotel, this time I'm at Fleet, but will give them a visit next time for sure. I still have to come here every now and then. It would have been nice to get a ride with your topless, the weather is surprisingly warm now. Maybe next time, let's give this a raincheck. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Robin, You may have already told this story but where did you get your car? It's a real beauty. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 Robin,You may have already told this story but where did you get your car? It's a real beauty. Hi Joe, I imported the car in 2004. Got it from a dealer in Florida, after seeing it on Ebay. I ran a 48 P15 Coupe for 9 years prior to buying the 'vert. That coupe is now owned by a friend. I know my car was supplied new by Gettysburg Motors, Gettysburg, PA, but I don't know its history between then and the mid 1970s. I'd love to know more. Anyway, glad to hear that you like it. Very best wishes from England. Robin. Quote
eric wissing Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Robin, I saw your car in the February "Classic and Sports". You had a nice write up and your previous car got some exposure. Thanks for posting the pictures. Eric Quote
