Guest Dave Claussen
Only an extremely funny movie. In my house, it's not the Christmas season until they show it on TV. They should show " A Christmas Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" back to back.
Young Ed
Ok. Do they show it on reg tv? No cable or sat at my house.
Brad Lustig
Ed, I'm sorry but we're going to have to ask you to leave until you've seen this movie. I believe it's TNT that shows it 24 hours straight on Christmas day. I always catch it a couple of times then.
Brad Lustig
Ok. Do they show it on reg tv? No cable or sat at my house. I've got an idea for an addition to the "tool exchange". We need to throw in a copy of a Christmas Story on DVD.
Normspeed
I've never seen it either. I'll have to troop over to the video rental store and check it out.
bob_amos
The movie is avail. for a reasonable price in most stores that sell DVDs. It is really worth having. Also... didn't someone on this forum actually appear in that movie with his cars? If it wasn't this forum (actually at the old site) then he was on another forum that I frequent. David Maxwell
I have owned a copy for years. We watch it every Christmas. I actually experienced the episode at the Chinese restaraunt. One year when my wife and I lived in Chico, CA. Our Christmas dinner plans didn't pan out and we decided to go into town for dinner. The only place open was a chinese restaraunt. We decided it would have to do (this was a year before the movie came out). We were the only customers in the place. While we were eating, the staff came to our table and sang Deck the Halls complete with "Fa, ra, ra, ra, ra..." It was perfect!! When we first saw the movie, we nearly died laughing during that scene.

Brad Lustig
Just saw a Cingular GO phone commercial that spoofed A Christmas Story. It's pretty well done. Keep your eye out for it.
De Soto Frank
Just saw this too... they really took great pains to make it look like the real thing !!! My wife and I got a real kick out of it ! Another good "skewed" holiday movie is "The Hebrew Hammer"... Just the proper antidote for when you've had one too many "Rudolph" special...
