belvedere666 Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 I couldn't find anything using the search bar… If I wanted to put an R 10 into my 12v converted 1950 Plymouth, what steps would I have to take? Which parts do I need to swap? Quote

Mark D Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 (edited) Just swap the solenoid for a 12v solenoid. Edited February 11 by Mark D Quote
Loren Posted February 12 Report Posted February 12 The Solenoid and the relay are voltage specific. All the switches and governor are the same. 1 Quote
Labrauer Posted Friday at 05:26 PM Report Posted Friday at 05:26 PM Can you have an electronic ignition when you have an R10 overdrive installed in car. Will the overdrive work or not? Quote
Loren Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago My 49 has a 6 volt Delta Mark Ten CD ignition and it works perfectly. The way the ignition interrupt works is to ground the spark. Since the spark is going to the ground away your ignition doesn’t notice. The purpose of the ignition interrupt is to take the torque off the gears until the solenoid can retract. It happens so fast you can’t hear it from the engine note or feel it. Quote
