What switch/handle/etc. is missing here?

What am I missing here where the hole in the panel is?

Overdrive and throttle are left of the steering wheel. I'll get a wider picture tomorrow.

That should be a cable to turn off and on the water supply into the heater core(s). I'm blanking on how the knob is labeled though

On .y 47 Custom , the throttle cable goes there

on my car it has a chrome blank cover 1948 p-15

Ditto on my 48 there is a chrome blank-out plug (possibly for an accessory)

Thanks! Seems I'm missing the Temp Control. The heater system is missing the heater valve, so that makes sense. It just permanently supplies the hot coolant to the heater radiator.
