flathead six - 25" dual exhaust manifold - Right Hand Drive

Hi All,

has anyone ever installed these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285489208942

on a RIGHT hand drive car please?  Interested to know if they clear the steering box.

I installed genuine Langdon headers (purchased from Tom Langdon a few years ago) on my 230, but the dumps are in a different location that the ones shown in the eBay ad. My point is that there may be more options for you.

Thanks Bob.  yes, I don't think that these are made anymore or at least sold online that I can find.

I think you're right. Tom Langdon has either completely or partially retired.

Check 12 bolt.com  He list both 23" and 25" cast iron headers. Same ones Langdon sold I think.

these are the same ones on ebay.  Again, I'm after someone that has fitted them to a right hand drive car as so I know that they clear the steering box.

O/k.........I had a RHD 41 Plymouth Coupe with the 23" 201 engine and after checking the various options re the Langdon, Fenton and other brand headers I was about 99.9% certain that none would clear the steering box so I obtained the different factory cast iron manifolds and modified them and had the local blacksmith weld them up as shown..........I ended up having to sell both the car & engine so can't give a final report......as you have a Chrysler Royal which is essentially a 53/54 Plymouth chassis with the Chrysler/DeSoto engine you MAY have sufficent space to install the cast iron headers but they are an expensive gamble........I've attached a pic of what I had made and was going to install in the plymouth with an imported S10 T5 gearbox but its a moot point now........I'm in Grafton on the NSW north coast and talk better than I type......am retired so give me a call anytime if you want more info...........6642 5963............regards, Andy Douglas

You could also go rack and pinion, but that's a whole different level of fun and fabrication
