Well I'm not getting fuel to the card so I have pulled the pump and dropped the tank. They both need a good going though. My question is, should I be rebuilding this pump or replacing. If rebuild what numbers to I lookup to find the correct kit. I see that the other 230 I have has a different looking pump with no bowl is that type better?

I have no idea if this pump is original but is sure is dirty?

I have the glass bowl, it was removed when taking pictures.

Looks like a typical 588 Airtex or AC pump. Very common pump.

The new replacement pumps have the rocker arm pins fall out.

I'd rebuild that one with a quality kit.

Rebuild!  Then & Now have excellent rebuild kits. BYW, they have little C clips that fit into grooves on a stainless pin that hold each ends of the rocker arm pin on the pump.  Easy to rebuild. I've done it. See other post on pumps.

I rebuilt mine, had to come up with a tool to set the check valves correctly. I thought I had it posted on here but can't find it. Here is some pictures of mine, including how I set the check valves and pin.

ETA:

It looks like the other engine might have a Carter pump, which if I remember right doesn't have rebuild kits available for it.

If it works, you could swap it to keep forward movement, while you rebuild your current AC pump.
