So the Transporter dropped off my 48 b1c on Wednesday. Really impressed by how solid it is. Sometime in it's 74 year old life a sliding gate was cut into the tailgate. I'd really like see "dodge " not a big plate of steel. Where are the best places to find a used tailgate? I would also consider sectioning the center if I could get a good donor.

They pop up on eBay once in a while or buy a new one.

Just a thought, I think the B1C 3/4 ton trucks have a longer & wider bed then a B1B 1/2 ton truck.

Just something to think about when shopping for a tailgate.

There is a guy on Facebook who buys pilothouse trucks and sells parts. Would be the first place I would check.

His name is Douglass Crozier .... think the spelling is correct or close enough  :P

Considering the availability, this is not a terrible idea either.
