Fan belt size, for 1940 D15.

Hi, I've been trying to find the size of the fan belt on my 1940, D15 (plymouth) RHD Dodge Coupe.  If anyone can help I would appreciate it. The one i have appears to be very slack when fitted and there was no adjustment left on the dynamo bracket. I have a Gates B47.MN 17x1205LI, if that means anything to anyone.

I am in England so don't have easy access to all the American suppliers  but can order one on line if needed.

Thanks

Tod Fitch has a site, ply33.com. It says that a B47 belt is used. Newer belts are narrower than original. I would look for a 49” belt, because it fits deeper in the pulley. A B46 Gates or NAPA. The belt should be at least 3/8” thick, so it doesn’t twist in the pulley. I realize your Dodge, but a lot of things are similar at that site.
