jfish Posted December 9, 2021 Report Posted December 9, 2021 (edited) More pictures on next page. A few questions. 1. Is this the correct carb for my P15? 2.Is it correctly hooked up? 3. Is there a rebuild kit available? Thanks! Edited December 9, 2021 by jfish Quote
jfish Posted December 9, 2021 Author Report Posted December 9, 2021 (edited) A couple more pictures. On the first picture here, what is the unused hole for where the throttle connects? It seems like there should be a throttle return spring. Edited December 9, 2021 by jfish Quote
moparfun Posted December 9, 2021 Report Posted December 9, 2021 On my P-20 the choke stuff is on the head side and yes rebuild kits are available. I got mine at NAPA, later I can post the part # 1 Quote
moparfun Posted December 9, 2021 Report Posted December 9, 2021 The rebuild kit from napa # 2-5066A. On YouTube Mikes carburetor has a step by step rebuild video, hope this helps 1 Quote
Sniper Posted December 9, 2021 Report Posted December 9, 2021 D6G1 is the carb number, that might help you getting the right carb parts/kit. there is a return spring, but it's part of the linkage setup, at least on my 51, where the pivot on the head is. You can see it in this picture My write up on the carb rebuild I did on my carb and the issues I found. http://www.yourolddad.com/carb-rebuild 1 Quote
jfish Posted December 9, 2021 Author Report Posted December 9, 2021 Thanks for the info Sniper and Moparfun! I think I will add another return spring right at the carb. There is only a little clip holding the linkage to the carb and if it goes the throttle goes wide open. Quote

Mikes says that the kit fits 39-54 Plymouth without dashpot. I have looked all over and have not found the 700s designator in either Mikes or at Napa concerning kit information. I just want to make sure that this is the right kit. Anyone have an opinion? I have a email into Mikes right now requesting verification. Mikes kit is $32 Napa's is $65 Quote
allbizz49 Posted December 13, 2021 Report Posted December 13, 2021 Mike's kits are great. Don't skimp on carb rebuilding. Quote
47 dodge 1.5 ton Posted December 13, 2021 Report Posted December 13, 2021 I have bought a few through Mike’s and Napa. Buy Mike’s! You can also call if you have questions, very good to deal with. Quote
