Bryan Posted October 25, 2021 Report Posted October 25, 2021 Last checkup today for my eye - all okay and I can start working on my car again and mowing grass. Had a vitrectomy about 2 weeks ago (8 October) where they replaced the gel in my left eye. Had really banged my head hard a few years ago, had A LOT of floaters, not just the stringy ones, one was like looking through clear egg yolk. Now have crystal clear vision, no floaters. 8 Quote
T120 Posted October 25, 2021 Report Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) Bryan, Good to hear your eye surgery was successful. Good vision is something to be truly thankful for. Edited October 25, 2021 by T120 1 Quote
linus6948 Posted October 26, 2021 Report Posted October 26, 2021 I finally got my nerve up and got my cataracts fixed, I could have had it done about 8yrs ago but was too chicken and kept putting it off. I opted for the Symphony Lenses which cost me 2 grand an eye but now I have crystal clear 20/15 vision in both eyes. I was able to throw all my "cheater-glasses" away and the colors are bright and vibrant again. I am only sorry for all the years that I put off getting them fixed it is an amazing difference. 2 Quote
Ulu Posted October 27, 2021 Report Posted October 27, 2021 It was about $15k for lenses in both eyes about 5 years ago. I had cataracts, but terrible myopia and astigmatism. Now I need glasses only to read fine print. I see 20-20 or better at normal target distances. 1 Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted October 27, 2021 Report Posted October 27, 2021 I had both of mine done in 2016. Went from the proverbial coke bottle lenses to 20/20. Now just use reading glasses. Most successful surgery so far. 1 Quote
