kencombs Posted September 4, 2021 Report Posted September 4, 2021 (edited) I don’t need it yet but am looking for sources. I see them fro 65 to almost 300 bucks. Is the really that much difference in quality? Any personal experiences here? example: https://www.autoobsession.com/55-66dodgetownwagonwindshieldsealgasket.aspx Edited September 4, 2021 by kencombs Quote

I was really surprised at the wide range of pricing on the ones I found, Steele being the highest of course. But they do have a good reputation for fit. Quote
Tooljunkie Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 Give vic a call, i know he mentioned going a few years newer. Windshield rubber is a popular part, he may have a source. Quote
Brent B3B Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 (edited) Ken have you tried? https://clestersauto.com I have bought and installed a couple windshields with their gaskets and have been happy. (Spilt windshields) word around the campfire was, some other vendors also purchase from Clesters and resell. ? Edited September 8, 2021 by Brent B3B Video removed 1 Quote

That looks like a winner, molded one piece, lock strip type and good price too. Thanks for the tip. Most others are much more expensive and not lock strip type. The latter is really important to me, since I plan to do the install when the time comes. Quote
The Oil Soup Posted September 8, 2021 Report Posted September 8, 2021 Make sure to file any snags off the pinch weld to prevent scuffing the new windshield gasket during the install. 1 Quote
