I will take a look. From the pictures it looks like it might be too good to part but in MN these things have a tendency not to have any floors!

I talked to the owner tonight. He's had it for 30odd years. Typical MN car with no floor. Way back when he tried to get it running and didn't have any compression. Pulled the head and pan and the pistons/rods out. Pistons had stuck rings etc so the head and pan were put back to protect it. He thinks that the rocker moulding on the car is good and that the other is inside it. I'm going to go see it in person after work tomorrow.

David I think it might be a little too good to part. Tomorrow will tell for sure. I certainly wont part out a good car especially since I don't need that many parts for myself.

Went and looked after work. Pretty rusty underneath. Clutch cover is almost gone. Looks to have been sitting down on the ground. 4 fenders look pretty good along with the doors and trunk. Hood isn't attached. Hinges MIA-possibly in the trunk. The stainless and chrome seem to all be very good. Very minor pitting on the chrome. Rocker mouldings both there and decently straight. Would need a little help to be used. Car has keys with matching door and ignition. I could put those in my car. Didnt try it but might have the key for the trunk too. Wiper knob which I need looks ready to crumble :(

Ok talked to the guy last night again. He has a couple others interested in some parts and may just part it out. I am going to call him back tonight and let him know for sure either way if I want it or not. I'm leaning towards a purchase :) I just haven't figured out what to do with the basic shell and 4doors.

Ed, you could sell the doors either complete with hardware or split it up. As for the shell, you could then cut it down into sections like the top, cowl etc. and sell those parts. Same with the trunk deck and front end sheet metal parts. Don't forget the chassis has lots of hard to get parts too. Especially the body mount brackets on the frame. Several people have ask where to find those. Glass may be hard to ship if someone wants that. As for the body mount brackets, I have a set of those I took from a chassis several years ago. I kept them for myself as spares, but I could have sold them at least 4 or 5 times since then right here on the forum. That doesn't count the brake parts, steering, etc. on the chassis.

If you have trouble getting rid of the basic sheet metal parts cut from the body itself, there's always the scrap dealers. Would be easy to scrap if you have already cut the body down into sections. Scrap steel prices are up there right now. So, I wouldn't worry about what to do with the shell.

The basic shell could go to the scrap heap but I'd hate to send the doors hood etc there. I also have no need for 4dr doors or a 4th hood! I really dont know that I'd even need a spare set of fenders either. I could work on getting these fixed up and primered over the winter though.

Hi, I am looking for the two front window frames that hold the glass for my P15 coupe.

The two frames I currently have are missing the spring that holds the front "roller" that "Floats" between the frame and the window channle and I can't locate a replacement "spring" so I gess I need to get a total replacement frame.

Can you help me out on this one?

Thanks

AL
