belvedere666 Posted July 12, 2021 Report Posted July 12, 2021 (edited) If you’ve done the a833 swap, Can I get some pictures of your shifters and shifter boots, with a bench seat? I have three shifters that all fit into the shifting mechanism. L-R chrome “bench seat” style (Flat) Van style leans forward (round) Truck style leans backward (round) I haven’t decided which one i’m going to use, and I haven’t purchased a boot. all of these will clear my bench seat. id like to see pictures of either of these shifters in the car, in the boot.. Edited July 21, 2021 by belvedere666 Added more info and a picture. Quote
Sniper Posted July 12, 2021 Report Posted July 12, 2021 Inland or Hurst shifter? One is round, the other rectangular. Here's a well known supplier with their options for you to think about http://www.brewersperformance.com/products.php?cat=56 Quote

belvedere666 Posted July 14, 2021 Author Report Posted July 14, 2021 I have a hurst shifter and three different shifter handles that will work. i have the chrome flat stock “bench seat” style, the truck style. Round with a slight bend backward, and the van style: round with a slight bend forward. all three will clear my seat. I haven’t decided which one I’m going to use. i asked for pictures so I could see the boot and handle combinations and how the boots fit on the floor. Quote
Sniper Posted July 14, 2021 Report Posted July 14, 2021 I believe every boot and bezel Brewer's sells has a pic of it. None installed though. Myself, I'd go with a round or oval boot, the rectangular ones look out of place to me. There are some old threads on the A833 conversion here, not sure if they show that part of it though. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 14, 2021 Report Posted July 14, 2021 I can say this about the a833 in a pickup....1981 vintage...the shifter cover attaches to the side and top of the tunnel and also to some extend the floor pan....it requires not only the correct metal shape it has a number of bolts. To use this one would be best to cut the original chunk from the donor for a clean look....I would expect the car would have a similar setup.... Quote

You’re right, brewers doesn’t have pics of any of them installed, so………. pictures of installed ones, please? Quote
