tinlizzy Posted July 1, 2021 Report Posted July 1, 2021 What are you using to replace the old 6 volt dash lights/holders. All of mine the wires are frayed badly. Would it be possible to just disassemble and use shrink tape to repair then get 12 volt bulbs? Thanks for input Lee Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 1, 2021 Report Posted July 1, 2021 you can actually pull the wire though the housing and spring, remove the holder/insulator and then replace the wire...I often just use about 1/2 inch of the existing wire with the old insulation removed, solder my new wire on, sleeve with shrink tubing and let the big dog eat..... JBNeal Posted July 1, 2021 Report Posted July 1, 2021 If your contact is corroded, replacement single conductor pigtails can be found at NAPA etc. Quote
B1B Keven Posted July 2, 2021 Report Posted July 2, 2021 I've got a ton of original bulb sockets. Quote
