busycoupe Posted March 2, 2021 Report Posted March 2, 2021 When I taught high school science, we had metal poles with tapered ends that would fit into tapered sockets in the lab tables. Perhaps this socket drive was made to fit into a tapered socket on something like a wrecker or fire truck. ...??? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 2, 2021 Author Report Posted March 2, 2021 (edited) funny you mention it, I have some of those science table taper receivers and the rods for setting up equipment......the rubber hand grips and the taper end screams out special purpose....the only thing on the tools is a faded out sticker on the midsection of the handle...cannot read any data Edited March 2, 2021 by Plymouthy Adams Quote

I have seen similar tools used for tie downs. Here is what I think is a tool for electronics. No clue what it was used for. I just thought it was cool so my Uncle gave it to me and sits on a shelf in the garage. Has 2 wires in the back, a button on one side and a rotating knob on the other. there is 2 clips on the sides where maybe it held some probes connected to the wires? Case is made out of bakelite. 1 Quote
